*Jasper's POV*
I watch as her face lights up like a Christmas tree the moment our mystery destination is finally revealed.
"Jasper! How did you- I won't even ask since I get the feeling you won't tell me. But holy crap this is amazing!"
I can't help it when I begin to laugh a little bit with her reaction. This is exactly what I've been hoping for- the perfect reaction filled with joy.
I start to pull into the large parking lot and her eyes snap to my face. "Ok, I do want to know. The only person who knows about this place was my mom. How did you happen to know about this?"
I shrug my shoulders. "I've got my people; close people."
She raises an eyebrow. "You talked to my mom, didn't you?"
I put the car in park and pull out my key. I sheepishly smile in her direction. "Ok maybe I did. Doesn't matter, you're happy with this, aren't you?"
I'm asking it as a joke but I'm also very nervous that she might not want to be here. What if I really screwed this up and she's just pretending to be excited?
"Jasper, you can't seriously be asking if I'm happy," she states sincerely. I watch as her eyes search mine for a moment and she can probably see the doubt in my eyes. I'm caught off guard when she leans towards me and places a quick kiss on my cheek. When she pulls away her face remains close to mine. "Jasper, I am over the moon for this. Out of all the ways we could have our first date, this is the best. Thank you."
I grin at her and squeeze her small hand. "Of course. I guess now would be a good time to admit I'm sort of terrified."
She shakes her head with a laugh. "I don't want to force you to do something you don't want to."
I shrug my shoulders. "I can handle it. I'm a man; I'm tough."
She raises her eyebrows. "Says the guy who got tackled by a shy, tiny girl?"
Well crap. "Hey, that's only because I wasn't ready!"
She shakes her head in laughter. "Sure Jasper. So does that mean we can get out of the car and go?"
I can tell by the look on her face she's more than excited for this. Thank god. "Of course. Let's go."
Before I've even finished my sentence she's pushing open the car door and hopping out quicker than I could blink. It instantly makes me laugh at how urgent she is to go.
I step out of the car and can't help but watch as her bright blue eyes light up at the sight of the large yellow and red hot air ballon blown up in the distance. I take this moment where she's completely oblivious to really take in what she looks like.
From her blonde hair that falls perfectly over her shoulders to that beautiful smile that always makes me feel better; everything about her is just amazing. Her dimples evident on her cheeks as she smiles makes me really feel like I've done something good for this girl who has lost so much. Her body is perfect and everything about her is gorgeous.
She now turns and faces me and quickly grabs my hand. "Why are you just standing there? Come on!"
She starts dragging me towards the giant ballon- or death trap. I'm actually mortified to go anywhere near this hot air balloon. I have a terrible fear of heights and that one place I go when I'm mad is the only exception. I usually just don't look down.
"You're not very sneaky when you stare at me, Jasper," Rosie mentions.
I can feel my eyes widen with her words. I relax and try to play it cool. "When was I staring at you exactly?"
