Chapter 4 ~ I know who you are.

Hope opened the door of the school and made her way to Alaric's office.

She knocked at the door and he let her in.

"Are you Dr. Saltzman?", she asked.

"Yes I am. How can I help you?", Alaric asked back, playing dumb.

"My name is Hope Marshall and I want to attend your school.", Hope answered.

"Sure. You just have to fill this out.", he said and gave her a file.

"Thank you."

She handed it back to him, once she filled it out.

"Okay. Your room number is 206. You're going to have a roommate, my daughter Lizzie.", Alaric said smiling and Hope's eyes widened in shock. She can't be in a room with Lizzie and what about Josie? Where's Josie?

"Thank you."

She went to her room and saw Lizzie sitting om her bed.

"Hey, I'm Hope. I'm your new roommate.", Hope introduced herself.

Lizzie looked at her and was shocked. It's her. She thought to herself. She suddenly felt angry. Hlw could she leave her?

"Don't try to fool me Hope. I know exactly who you are.", she snapped at her.

"How? Do you remember me?", Hope asked hopefully.

"No. But we were together, I have pictures of us."

"I'm sorry Liz. You have to believe me.", Hope pleaded with her.

"I don't know what to believe. I don't even remember you.", Lizzie said.

"You have to understand Liz, it was the only way to keep you safe.", Hope answered sadly and sat down on her bed.

"I understand Hope, but we can't go on with our relationship, when I don't remember it. I want to be with you again, I really want it but I can't.", She said softly.

"Okay. I'll find a way to bring your memories back.", Hope promised.

She then went into the bathroom to put on some new clothes.

Once she changed she went back into the room and laid on her bed.

Lizzie just sat there and watched her.

"What happened with Josie?", Hope asked after a few minutes of silence.

"She's going to the Mystic Falls High now and lives with our aunt and uncle in Mystic Falls.", Lizzie answered.

"Okay. Do dou think she will come back to the school?", Hope asked.

"I don't know. Why do you wanna know it?"

"Because your father made me your roommate and you always shared a room with Josie."

"My Dad knows who you are Hope. I think think that's the reason why you're here.", Lizzie explained and Hope nodded.

"It's almost dinner time. Let's go and eat something.", Lizzie suggested and Hope nodded.

They went into the cafeteria and grabbed something to eat.

When they finished eating they went back to their room and changed so they could go to bed.
