The next day Rin burst into the Hunters barracks with a metal pan and a wood spoon.
"Wakey wakey princesses!" Rin yelled, banging the pan, "Time to train!"
Kurapika was the first up. Rin's eyes met his before a smirk appeared on her face.
"LOOK ONE OF YOU SLACKERS IS ALREADY UP CMON MOVE!!!"
The rest got up groggily, except for Gon. Rin's energy at the group seemed completely different. Melody was the last up.
"Meet me at the obstacle course!" Rin yelled, running out of the room.

The group convened at the course, Rin's energy back to serious.
"Okay, run through this, I'll see where you're at physically." She commanded

Rin made them run the course five times each. Judging them harshly.
"You're definitely not at square one." Rin said, disappointed, "But where should I start with you?"
Silence
"I know!" Rin said, "Let's see what technique you'll learn. I'd hate to teach you one style and have you be suited for a different one."
"Technique?" Kurapika questioned
"I'll give you and introduction on Breathing Styles later. But for now let's see which one you should learn."
Rin lead them to a pavilion and had Yushiro lay out 7 scraps of metal, wrapped in cloth.
"Does anybody know what this metal is?" Rin asked
They all shook their heads.
"This is the metal used to forge the Nichirin blades, also known as the color changing blades, also known as the only metal that can kill a demon. It's known to change color based on the user. Each color means you can master a certain Breathing Style. For example; I have a red blade meaning I can master Flame Breathing."
Rin unwrapped her cloth and picked up the scrap metal. It instantly turned a fiery red, almost as red as her hair.
"Go ahead, green kid."
Gon unwrapped his cloth and his scrap metal turned blue.
"Water breathing." Rin said. "I'll have Kamado teach you."
Gon seemed amazed at his piece of junk metal, trying to find out how it changed color.
Each Hunter took their turn drawing their scrap metal.
Killua pulled a yellow metal- Thunder breathing
Alluka pulled a pink metal- Love breathing
Melody pulled an amber metal- Sound breathing
Leorio pulled another blue metal- Water breathing
Finally it was Kurapikas turn. He slowly uncovered his scrap metal and held it up. It turned red. He looked back at Rin, whose face fell, annoyance replacing her good mood.
"Flame." She sighed dejectedly
