"This is gonna be our driver, Brother Qiu!"
The other three boys stared in disbelief at the tall, beefy, white haired man in front of them. The tattoo exposed on the length of his bicep and the cigarette protruding from his mouth in a heap of smoke made them gulp.
Mo, Jian, and Zheng looked at each other with the same expression.
Is He Tian apart of a gang?
Brother Qiu noticed the silence and gave one long drag of his smoke before throwing it to the ground and stepping on it. His grimacing, cold, cat like eyes stared at the three as if he was analyzing them. They held onto each other for silent support.
Every nerve was sparking in Mo's body to run, to run and never look back.
Even so, Mo held onto Jian's shirt—He Tian's shirt—while Jian held onto Zheng. Zheng kept his arms at his sides, stiff as a board under that intense gaze.
"Sup, brats," the man said gruffly.
All three released a heavy exhale they didn't realize they were holding in.
"S-sup?" Jian Yi decided to say.
Mo turned with a prude of his lips and flicked him in the ear lobe. He couldn't believe the idiot actually spoke, to a gang member with the eyes to kill at that.
"What's the deal~ as long as he's here, I promise your safety is assured. Isn't that right, Brother Qiu?"
The white haired man gave a sinister chuckle deep within the rasp of his throat, making the three holding onto each other jump back in fear.
"Don't promise things for me, He Tian. Only your punk ass brother can do that."
Brother! Mo screamed internally. That chicken dick has a brother? Is this a family of devils or what?
"He is your boss after all," He Tian smiled.
"BOSS?!?" They said in unison. Brother Qiu cringed at the noise and waved his hands in the direction of the large black SUV.
"Get your little asses in the car before I throw you over a cliff. I'm already not in a good mood and having to escort some high schoolers for the next 48 hours isn't exactly enlightening."
"Sir yes sir!" Jian stammered before dragging Zheng over to the car.
Mo was left to have a double take at the overly tall man. He eventually pattered behind the other two, escaping the cloud of icy energy spewing from the man before him.
"Would you look at that," He Tian started. "You're scaring my friends."
Brother Qiu snorted and waved He Tian off as well. "Your friends are a lively bunch, they'll get over it in no time."
"We'll see, Brother Qiu."
He Tian followed the other three in the direction of the black SUV, much less skittish compared to his friends of course.
—
"Where are we even going?" Zheng was surprisingly the first one to ask after an hour.
The four teenagers had stuffed into the back seat of the SUV, considering nobody wanted to sit up front with the grump of the litter, which in this case, wasn't Mo.
Mo was currently laying his head back on the seat with his hat covering his eyes, quiet as a mouse.
"It's a surprise~" He Tian reassured.
"Are you going to kill us?" Jian said.
"I wouldn't need to drive out in the middle of no where in order to do that. I have enough money that I could probably get away with it, and sell you for even more money on the black market."
