"I'm gonna kill you!"
"You gotta catch me first~"
Mo was chasing after He Tian with a slurry of curses. Jian and Zheng were simply minding their own business, laying on the concrete basketball court with heaves of their chest.
They didn't understand how the bastards still had energy as they were still struggling to catch their breaths.
"We lost. Again..." Jian huffed.
Zheng flipped him off lazily.
"Your fault."
"My fault!" Sitting up but regretting it as soon as he did, Jian plopped back to the ground and accepted his defeat. "You can't pass. You suck at passing."
The brunette didn't seem fazed, just fired back with more criticism.
"And you suck at finishing. Which is why I don't pass to you."
"You're so mean to me."
"Maybe learn to put the ball in the hoop and I'll consider being nice, asshole~"
Jian, swayed by the words that he took as a source of motivation, pouted and crossed his arms over his sweaty chest.
Finally feeling satisfied with his thoughts, he rolled over and laid his hand on Zheng's stomach, tapping his finger there to catch the exhausted boy's attention. Zheng glanced over with a side eye.
"If we win next round, you owe me something."
He furrowed a brow. "The hell kinda bet is that? No way~ I'm out of energy."
"Come on!" Jian pressed on. "I wanna beat those assholes, and we have to do it together! But~ if we win you owe me something~"
Zheng seeming to give up, sighed as Mo and He Tian ran by in a flash. He pushed the hands on his stomach off of him.
"You know what? Why not? What do you want if we win?"
Before Jian could say anything, Zheng interrupted him.
"And no fucking kisses. You got it?"
Jian pouted and turned away, squeezing his eyes shut in distraught.
"Fine then, I don't wanna play anymore."
"You bastard!" Mo grabbed the basketball from beside them and threw in the direction of He Tian where he was at on the opposite end of the court. The ball missed him by a long shot, though. "Little shit. You're a real pain in my ass."
"What the hell are you guys even doing?" Zheng asked from his spot on the ground. Jian hummed to express his curiosity as well.
Mo had turned with a rather nasty scowl and pointed at He Tian who was now making his way back over.
"Chicken Dick He Tian over there thought it would be funny to dump grass down the back of my shirt! Now I'm all itchy and shit!"
Jian made a disturbed sound, as if sympathizing with the situation.
"Yeah, I would say let's get back at him," he started. Zheng finished the statement with, "but it's He Tian, after all."
"Ah damnit. You guys suck."
"Mhm."
Mo plopped down beside them and laid back as well, all the energy he exerted from the chase finally weighing him down. He sighed, Zheng following the breath with his own.
"I'm really fucking tired."
Jian laughed. "Me too. School was a real bummer today. I got scolded for forgetting my notebook and it sucked~"
He Tian arrived not long after, ignoring the glare he received from Mo as he sat down beside him.
"Maybe for once don't be stupid and forget your stuff~"
Jian squirmed. "Where the fuck did you even come from! I'm still mad at you, for beating us!"
He Tian only snickered, of course launching back with a snarky remark. "Then beat us in one more round. If you win, I'll hold Zheng Xi down so you can kiss him~"
"Wait what!"
Jian snapped up so fast, Mo got whiplash watching him. He took off in the direction of where Mo had thrown the ball, and quickly returned. Zheng wore a shocked expression, but nonetheless excepted the challenge.
He was going to do everything in his power to lose.
Mo giving into the last bit of adrenaline he could muster, grumbled and stood to his feet.
"Let's fucking do this punks! You're going down!" Jian shouted.
"Wow~ Jian Yi, I've never seen you so determined~"
"Yeah, I wish he'd be this determined to do his damn homework. But here the fuck we are."
"We start with ball," Mo said as he stopped at the top of the three point line.
Jian faced him with a snarl, his eyes a lot more hungry then usual. Mo frowned at the sight.
This guy sure is in love with Zheng Xi.
Mo decided to ignore how much he...accepted that.
He erased any of those thoughts from his head and focused on the game. Looking at Jian with a wrinkle of his red brows, pulling himself into the mood of the competition before checking the ball. The other two prepared for the up coming round as well, smiling at one another.
