I woke up in a cold sweat in Link's arms, it was a nightmare. I dreamt that Link had left me in the night and never returned, it scared me deeply to my very core. I shook off the feelings of doubt as I crawled back into his arms. I had another dream, this time not as bad. It was a warm day, Link and I rode horses across Hyrule field, Link had prepared a picnic, all homemade food, it was a large feast, way larger than two people should eat. Two figures came out of the horizon, they looked familiar, but I couldn't see their faces. Before I could get a good look, I woke up again, this time Link was gone.
I tossed on my clothes from the night prior as I searched the castle for any sign of Link, opening any door I thought he'd be in. Finally coming across the armory, Link was inside sheathing his sword.
"Link!" I called out
He turned around to look me in the eyes, a warm smile spread across his face.
He came up for a hug, and gave a small peck on your cheek.
"You gearing up for training?" You asked, Link only nodded in response,
"Awfully quiet today, aren't you?"
"I'm just trying to stay focused on getting ready to train."
You buried your face in the crook of his neck and gave a small "ok" as you smiled.
"But let me tag along, I need it."
"Of course, I'd be more than happy to help." He softly smiled. You and Link enter the training grounds and unsheathe your wooden swords. Link immediately went to a defensive position, you went in with a wide swing trying to overpower Link's block. Link sidestepped and smacked the sword out of your hand and tripped you onto the ground, he held the sword near your neck smugly. You roll out of the way and kick Link in the back of the leg, taking his sword and holding it in front of his neck.
Link gasped in shock at the sudden prowess in your duel"Have you been training without me?" Link asked.
"Every second I have free time."
"Impressive." Link said with a small nod and a smile.
"But I was going easy on you~." He teased.
"W-what? No you didn't!" You whined, Link only chuckled in return, and pulled you in for a kiss. You embraced the kiss as he pulled you in tighter, he rested his hands on your waist as you hold his head. You broke this kiss to catch your breath,
"H-how are you not out of breath-." You gasped for air.
"I swim often." he shrugged, you giggled in response and poked him on the nose,
"Dork." You teased
He groaned and pulled you in for a kiss. You embraced his warmth as you kissed in silence. He broke the hug suddenly,
"The Princess asked me to clear the fields of Bokoblins!" Link exclaimed,
"Hm? Can I help?" You asked,
"Sure! Grab your gear."You rode your horses out of the castle and headed out into Hyrule field, scouting out for any Boko camps, an arrow wizzed by Link's head and hit you in your shoulder. You fell of your horse and yelped in pain, you help your arm as you yanked out the arrow. Link rode back for you as he used his shield to block the oncoming arrows.
"How bad is the wound?" He asked seriously,
"I'll live." You groaned as you held your shoulder.Three bokoblins approached you and Link, you both unsheathed your swords as you prepared for a fight, you hear a rustling in the bushes, and before you could react, a moblin used it's club to slam you into a a tree, the last thing you see before passing out is Link getting attacked by the monsters.
AN: thanks so much for the patience, honestly, it's incredibly impressive. And I will be finishing the story, do not worry, love y'all
