Link's POV

Zelda knew, she just stood there, with a smile on her face, Y/N was flushed completely of color.

Zelda finally spoke up.

Zelda: "So, where have you two been the past three hours?"

She glanced at Y/N, then me.

Y/N: "We uh, visited the Great Fairy."

Zelda: "You should've invited me!"

We both let out a nervous chuckle.

Y/N: "We didn't want to wake you."

Zelda: "Okay... And why is Y/N's hair so messed up?"

Y/N tensed up, his face turning a deep crimson. I spoke up.

"It's his bed hair. He rolled around in his sleep."

Zelda eyed is suspiciously. She then shrugged.

Zelda: "Eh... doesn't matter anymore, let's go see Impa."

We headed out and climbed up the stairs. Taking a quick break at the top and then opening the doors.

Paya: "Master Link, Lady Zelda, and... Who are you?"

Zelda: "That is Y/N, the reason we came to talk. And oh yeah, Y/N this is Paya."

Y/N: "It's a pleasure to meet you Lady Paya."

Paya blushed.

Paya: "J-Just call me Paya."

Y/N just smiled and nodded. We approached Impa.

Zelda: "Impa, we came here to talk about Y/N becoming my new appointed knight."

Impa: "Hmmm... What makes him knight worthy material?"

I spoke up.

"He engaged with me in battle and put up a fair fight with me despite no previous training."

Impa: "Hmmm... It's perhaps just beginners luck, I still don't trust him to protect Zelda if Link's ever downed in battle."

Y/N: "Your opinion is respectable, there's no way I can win a fight by myself."

Zelda: "Hey, don't talk bad about yourself, you just need training."

Impa: "The only time Zelda has been this insistent on convincing me to do something, it's usually important to her. So tell me, why is Y/N so important?"

Zelda: "He has personal relations with Link, and Link's happiness is important to me."

Y/N and I take a glance at each other, intertwining our hands.

Impa: "Hmmmm.... I see... Well, I trust him now, you've convinced me. Though it's dangerous to go alone, take this."

She said handing Y/N a royal knights sword.

Y/N face gleamed with excitement, he happily lowered himself in front of Impa.

Impa lowed the blade, touching both of Y/N's shoulders, Y/N rose.

Y/N: "Thank you Lady Impa, it has been a pleasure to meet you, and even more of a pleasure to be knighted by you."

Y/N smiled an smile that can make a grown man cry.

As we walked out, I hugged Y/N

"I'm so happy for you!" I say mumbling into the crook of his neck. He patted my back.

Y/N: "It's an honor to be standing near you guys, much less being a royal knight."

We all smiled as we headed back to Zelda's carriage
