"So kaya di ka nakapanood kasi sinamahan mo si Tati, tama ba?"He queried while digging in his third serving of mango graham ice cream, takteng sweet tooth na yan waldasero.

It's nearing 4pm at nandito kami sa Mr. Softy, di ko alam anong trip nya dito at ang dalas niya. Mas malakas pa rin Geno's para sa akin, hmp. I stared at the cup of Strawberry Oreo flavored ice cream and decided to have a taste.

And just like that, I found myself standing up to get myself another one. Palakad na ako nang hawakan ni Kiel yung braso ko, I stared at him frowning as he chuckled and walked with me. Kaya pala, bibili ng bago hahaha siraulo talaga.

Isang strawberry oreo saka mango graham to go, kuya. Nagtaka ako, and I'm sure he noticed it too because he just smiled and said,

"May pupuntahan tayo."

"Kingina ka kiel, pag yung ice cream nalusaw sinasabi ko sayo." Hinihingal kong turan habang naglalakad kami sa people's park. Apakagago talaga nito, akala ko kung saan pupunta langya sa people's lang pala.

The park looked the same as it was nung huli akong pumunta. May mga students na nakatambay, yung iba galing olfu at yung iba di ko alam. May mga employees din na kakatapos lang siguro ng shifts. For me, People's Park became a safe haven for people who had no one else to hang out with.

Or people who liked the feeling of being alone.

"Huy Kia! yung ice cream mo." I was broken out of my reverie, naknam habit ko ata magspace out ngayong araw. I stared at my half-melted ice cream and started consuming it, absorbing the unknowing yet blissful feeling of peace amidst that bustling crowd.

"Tingin mo ano kaya mangyayari sa atin after natin gumraduate no." I wasn't sure how it happened, but the words came out in such a manner of sadness I couldn't comprehend.

Almost like he's scared of something.

"Siyempre maghahanap tayo ng trabaho gaga, kaya nga tayo nag-aral e" I stifled a laugh, but his face still held a lot of emotions I can't understand.

At takot akong intindihin yun.

The sun was slowly making its way down, and I can pretty much understand why he chose to go at this specific spot and time. The sun's dying rays shone at us, giving a sense of warmth and peace. It's those times na mapapapikit ka na lang to embrace those aspects you can't explain with words. The sun's rays were comforting enough to make me cry, forcing my eyes open to look at the person next to me.

Only to see him looking too.

His eyes held an intensity na ngayon ko lang nakita. Golden hour seems to have worked its magic on us that time,

kasi mata niya lang yung nakikita ko noon.

Luh.

The sun finally disappeared while we slowly sank into reality again, he stood in silence at nagsimula nang maglakad. I was still stuck there of course, what the heck was that?

But just as I was trying to push that thought to the back of my head, he glanced back at me. I stifled a smile and made my way to him,

"Alam kong alam mo kung ano ibig kong sabihin, Kia."

I froze.
