It's been an hour since I left that party, strolling mindlessly around the streets of Caloocan. I texted tita Astrid just to have an update of some sort.

Kia: Tita astrid baka po mapagabi ako nang uwi hehe. :3

Tita Astrid: Take all the time you need dear, pinahiram ko naman sayo yung duplicate no?

Pero ingat ka, gabi na rin.

Kia: Opo tita, thank you!

I put my phone away and stared at the caloocan night life, trying to get rid of the thoughts suffocating my head. Bwisit.

After a few minutes of walking, nangawit din ako and craved for something warm to drink. Thankfully may nakita akong 7-eleven, medyo ligaw pa rin ako around the metro so I pretty much didn't know where I am haha. Basta alam ko Caloocan to, bakit ba.

Kingina bakit kasi ang complex ng thinking ng tao, lintek yan. I muttered habang sumisimsim ng kape, staring into nothingness. It's scary how things change in just a flick of a finger, di ba pwedeng constant na lang? Kung friends, friends lang. Ganun kasimple.

Sure ka, yun gusto mo?I stopped abruptly because a part of me was saying yes,

Yet a huge part of me was saying no, damn it.

Wala gaanong tao sa branch na to ng 7-eleven, which is pretty odd. As far as I know, ganitong oras ang peak hours ng convenience stores. Oh well, I continued sipping on my coffee and absorbing the silence.

ayayayay, ang tagal niya magreply~Nagulat ako sa tunog ng ringtone ko, lintek papalitan ko na nga to mamaya. I just fished my phone out and pressed answer.

"Hello?" I said lazily, hoping whoever the hell this is would just drop the call.

"Napakalingaw mo talaga, hilig mo tumunganga sa kawalan no?"

At that point, it felt like my heart was about to burst.

Because there he was, staring at me through the glass wall.

And all I wanted to do right now is to hug him.

"Paano ka umabot dito, kia? Ikaw talaga nako." Sermon niya habang nilalagok yung kape na binili ko. But that was the least of my concern.

"Where were you?" I fired back, trying to keep myself calm kahit gusto ko na umiyak sa harapan niya. Tinignan niya ako na para bang tinubuan ako ng tatlong ulo at tumawa.

"Pinagsasasabi mo? Galing ako sa party, wala ka don kaya hinanap kita. Buti na lang talaga di ka pa malayo". Sambit niya habang natatawa pa din, and that is where I felt myself snapping. I grabbed my bag and walked straight out of the convenience store. I could hear him calling my name pero di ko pinansin yon at diniretso ang lakad sa pedestrian lane.

Until I heard a loud screech. My steps came to a halt as I turned around and saw him lying on the ground.
