So after the whole nya fiasco and the teasing that came with it, (R/N) finally got the chance to rest after an eventful afternoon. Truth to be told, he was enjoying his time at the agency, as it felt like he was part of a big family.

With a shake of his head, (R/N) with a smile settled down into his futon to get some sleep.

Mandalay grumbled as she got up from her bed to see who knocked on her room's door at this time of night. It couldn't have been her teammates, as they all had their own hand-held transceivers to get in contact with each other.

To her surprise, it was Kota who had knocked. He stood there with his head down as if he had done something wrong. She crouched down to his level to talk to him.

Mandalay: What's wrong Kota? Do you need something? 

Kota: I'm sorry.

Mandalay: Huh? For what Kota?

Kota: I'm sorry for behaving so badly and not listening to you.

On cue he lifted his head, as Mandalay saw a pure and genuine, albeit shaky, smile on his face for the first time since that incident.

Kota: But I promise, I'll behave from now on, I'll smile and laugh more, I'll talk more, so please,

As he spoke, his smile slowly was dropping, as tears slid down his face. Hiccups turned into sobs, as the 5 year old desperately tried to stop himself from having a breakdown.

Kota: So please don't leave me.

Mandalay, no Shino hugged her nephew, her own tears falling down her face as she tried to calm down the 5 year old. She knew that she can't promise him that, but she'd try her best to do it.

Mandalay: I'll try my best, so don't worry Kota, I'll always try to be at your side.

Alarms were blazing, as panicked screams of adults and children were heard. He desperately ran towards one of the vents as someone else was also by his side. They had extremely spiky hair, that's all he could see in that moment.

???: Hey! This vent is open, let's crawl in here to see where it goes.

??: Are you stupid? We might get crush-

He tried to argue but was interrupted by them.

???: I know you're more intelligent than me, but trust me this is better than being burnt.

He wanted to argue but they had a point, they then opened the vent and motioned for him to go in, he crawled into the vent and they followed.

Both of them continued crawling until they heard the sound of a large explosion. He looked back to see the other person also looking back, they both saw that the vent area behind them was crushed. Horrified by the scene, they both started crawling faster.

After what felt like an eternity, he finally saw an opening where the moonlight trickled through.

??: I can see an opening! Let's hurry up!
