jihye didn't let the intense screen of her phone escape her gaze of worry. she wanted to send another message but she didn't want to seem pushy to him.
lee taeyong, please, respond to me. tell me you're not dead.
she had to focus though. on what she was doing, on her work. she couldn't just spend the entire day, hopelessly doting on somebody she had only come to know a few days ago. even so, she had spent the past few days doing exactly that. his breathtaking face that was thoroughly engraved into her lovesick brain, the crimson red eyes that he relentlessly beat into her own eyes.
restless, she forcefully picked up her phone to send another message once again.
she attempted to calmly closed her eyes, breathing deeply as she tried to focus back onto her work. sidetracked after a mere 10 minutes was a record. she couldn't just let it continue like this.
staring at the screen, jihye began to question it. what was she supposed to be doing in the first place? had she really been that distracted to not even remember the purpose? the document was only a blank page of white, a glaring screen of light in her vision.
right, I have to uh- what do I have to do?
she sluggishly clicked the email app, waiting for the device to process the request. it was slow today, just like her mind.
