vampires

vampires are immortal creatures hidden from the general public. generally, they live in an underground base located under a company that they themselves run.

they possess a vampire form and a human form. their vampire form consists of unique features such as red eyes, fangs, no need to breathe, inability to consume anything apart from blood, a heart that does not beat and pale skin while their human form returns their ability to consume human food, need to breathe, beating heart and their skin is notably less pale.

in vampire form, human food tastes absolutely disgusting while in human form, it tastes normal. usually, food is consumed in human form but when they enter vampire form, it is immediately thrown up.

their main form is their vampire form as their human form requires much energy and focus to maintain. due to this, vampires tend to hide from humans to maintain their secret from leaking as the moment they no longer hold the energy for their human form, they tend to descend into bloodthirst. if they lose focus, they simply go into vampire form.

in both forms, they possess inhuman strength, speed and reflexes as well as sensitive senses, although both qualities are less intense when in human form. in addition, they possess an immunity to the cold which comes with the weakness of extreme sensitivity to heat. they can see in the dark perfectly and lights are unnatural to them.

most vampires are given an injection when turned to abolish the weakness of sunlight. immunity towards drowsiness is a lesser-known feature of the vampires as they have adapted. accelerated healing is in their blood, allowing them to heal wounds with simple contact to their blood. due to this, their own injuries are easily healed and they are immune to diseases, a driving factor of their immortality. the more battle experience a vampire receives, the more the ability of pain ignorance grows. this is only present in vampires who have fought many battles and experienced many injuries.

vampires can compel humans. compelling ranges from simply stopping a human from doing a simple action to controlling their entire body, inserting thoughts to changing their whole mindset. compelling also ranges in difficulty, certain skills being easier to learn and use than others. this is often used for feeding.

as a vampire lives more years as vampire, their abilities become more powerful. this is due to how their bodies are constantly getting used to and building their abilities. every second spent as a vampire means your power increases.

as mentioned earlier, vampires have a sensitivity to heat and light. this makes them nocturnal creatures that tend to wander around in the late night. during the day, many stay inside. vampires have a natural sense of bloodthirst, usually looking for victims at night in alleyways, corners of parks and lesser known areas.

feeding is the process of drinking blood from a human, usually involving the compelling of the victim (often simply just the control of the vocal cords to avoid screams), the injecting of one's fangs into an area of their body (often the neck), drinking blood from the wound, the pricking of one's finger to heal the wounds and finally, compelling to remove the victim's memories of the feeding.

vampires do not require the consumption of food or water, blood serving as their water and food.

a human is turned into a vampire when they die with vampire blood within them. this means that a simple blood transfer will only grant the human a few vampire features such as accelerated healing and immunity to certain diseases.

please note, if you read the vampire series from weyoungjisung, i have removed the clan system (or at least omitted it) and changed the tattoo to an injection. vampires are relatively rarer in this world compared to the vampire series in weyoungjisung.

location

neo city is split into four regions: cazelle, kikoro, cianna and elisora. the river azure runs through all four regions by performing a massive curve at the city, although all regions are considered part of the same city, many refer to the four as different cities. each region is quite small in itself. in fact, the city is small in comparison to other cities.

cazelle is the region in which this story takes place. it's quite popular among the younger generation due to its variety in scenery, the modern buildings, nature, hidden streets full of small shops and more. commonly appears on social media as a photoshoot location. this region is where most vampires are based.

I won't explain the other regions because I might want to change info if I ever do more with this world I created (I probably will)

vampire base

vampires live in an underground place located underneath an entertainment company (we never specified in the vampire series but it's probably sm entertainment) that resembles a city. this underground city is known to be practically impossible for a human to enter without a vampire's assistance or the knowledge of a lesser-known entrance. the location is adapted to vampire conditions: temperature maintained chilly (around 10 degrees celcius); absence of light, and contains heavy doors usually made from concrete.
