"It's all my fault..."
Y/n walked around the living room silently panicking over Alcina, who was unconscious on one of the chairs. Her pulse was slow, and her skin was getting cold. It almost seemed like she was close to death. Y/n looked down at Alcina, and started to tear up. All the memories they'd shared appeared in Y/n's mind, and made her rush to Alcina's side. Her breathing was hesitant and shaky. This was it...
"Alcina, no... you can't die on me... not today," Y/n whispered, hugging Alcina's delicate body. Tears streaming down her pale face, Y/n pecked Alcina on the lips lightly for the last time. And soon, she stopped breathing, and her skin went ice cold. Y/n stared at her dead wife in sorrow...
And then she woke up.
Y/n awoke with tears haven drenched her face, and sweat appearing on her forehead. She sat up and tried to dry her tears with her duvet, but the tears kept on coming.
"What the-" Y/n stuttered, before getting startled by Alcina, who was sleeping next to her. Y/n let out a small sigh of relief, but was still anxious from the nightmare. She buried her face in her pillow, but heard Alcina talk to her. Y/n looked at Alcina, and saw that she was worried.
"Darling, are you alright?" She whispered. Y/n shook her head before more tears flooded her eyes. Alcina got up and held Y/n in her arms, caressing her cheek as she always did when Y/n was nervous.
"My dearest, what happened?" Alcina whispered again. Y/n explained the nightmare, and Alcina listened carefully. By the end, Y/n was calmer, but still scared of what was to happen in the future.
"But what if it does happen? What if you do die in my arms and I'm unable to comfort you and- and-"
"My dearest, it's going to be ok, it's only a dream... now get some sleep, you feel better if you rest a bit more,"
Y/n went back over to her side of the bed as Alcina laid back down, but Y/n didn't last five seconds without going closer to her. Alcina wrapped her arms around Y/n and smiled as she saw Y/n settle down more.
"Alcina, promise me you'll never leave..."
"I'm not good at keeping promises, but I'll try my very hardest..."
"I love you,"
"I love you too, darling..."
