Spain x reader ~ Thank You For Saving Me

It was Hungary's birthday, and all the nations were going over to her house... This included you.

You looked at yourself In the mirror. You put your hair in a sock bun. You had a cute two piece in -pickacolor- and a white pair of flip flops on. You put on a hoodie to keep yourself warm.

To be honest, you barely knew how to swim. You were only going to hang out in the shallow end. You knew Lichtenstein didn't know how to swim either, so you two could sit and talk together.

You got into your car with your keys, and purse.  You sighed and stared at the steering wheel. You then started the car and drove away from your house.

When you got there, you were automatically greeted by many nations. They lead you to the pool. You unzipped your hoodie, and sat on a beach chair.

Suddenly, Hungary sat beside you.

"Hey -yourname-" she greeted.

You quickly pulled her into a hug.

"Happy birthday!" You yelled.

"Thanks!"

"I got you something" you said excitedly while pulling something out of your purse.

You handed her a small green box with a white ribbon wrapped around it.

"Ooh, what could it be?" She cooed.

She pulled the ribbon off and set it aside. She then lifted the box to reveal a necklace. It had a small charm on it shaped like a frying pan.

"You know me well" she laughed, pulling you into a hug.

"Thanks! I'm so glad I have you as a friend" she said.

She then was called by someone who just arrived. You knew that voice belonged to Prussia.

"See you later!" She waved.

She then walked out of the backyard.

You sighed and got up, setting your hoodie aside. You then took your shoes off. You stood at the side of the pool, looking around. In the shallow end, you saw Lichtenstein, Ukraine, and Sealand playing in the water. In the middle of the pool, where the water was slightly higher, there was England and France arguing. You then looked to the deep end. There was America and Russia. They were pushing and shoving each other. This made you extremely nervous. You were scared that they would pull you into the water.

"Hola -yourname-" you herd someone say from behind you.

You turned around to see Spain smiling. He was only in his bathing suit, which also made you nervous. Your friend Belgium always said he had a thing for you. Ever since then, you felt nervous around him. Maybe you had a thing for him too.

"Hi Spain" you smiled.

"So, can you swim chica?" He asked.

He walked beside you and sat down, feet in the water.

"Not really... I only stand in the shallow end." You explained.

"I see, so at least you can stay in the pool for a bit"  he pointed out.

"Yeah..."

Then, you herd Belgium yell from the kitchen.

"CAKE TIME!" she yelled

Everyone got out of the pool.

Suddenly you herd screaming from the front of the house. You and Spain whipped your heads towards the gate you came from before. Prussia ran from the gate with Austria running behind him. They were chasing each other with pool noodles. They ran behind you and Spain.

"I want cake first!" Austria yelled.

"No me!" Prussia screamed.

You started to laugh with Spain when you herd a whipping noise in the air. Prussia's bird had gone flying into the side of your arm. You lost your balance and fell into the deep end of the pool.

You were under the water. You couldn't breath. You felt water fill your lungs. Everything went from blue to black. You were about to close your eyes, when you felt something wrap around your waist. When you got to the surface, you passed out from fear. The last thing you saw was Spain's green eyes.

You were layed on the lounge chair. Spain then wrapped your hoodie around your body. Everyone surrounded the chair.

Then, Spain put his hand on your pulse. It was slow. He started pushing on your chest.

Nothing changed.

"Please, don't die... I don't want to lose you..." He whisperd.

He started crying.

He then started to perform CPR.

After he finished, you started coughing. You opend your eyes to see Spain staring at you with a worried look.

"Spain..." You whisperd.

He then smiled and pulled you up so you sat upright, back leaned against the chair.

"I'm glad your alright" Spain said cheerfully.

Everyone backed away to give you breathing room, but they watched from afar.

"What... What happend?" You asked.

"You fell into the pool" he explained.

"Thank... Thank you for saving me" you said slowly and quietly.

He pulled you into a tight hug.

"De nada chica" he murmured into your hair.
