Trigger Warning: A little bit of violence.
Knock Knock
"Coming!" Elizabeth's soft voice woke Bucky when she slipped on her bath robe and opened the door to a worker with a small package.
"Elizabeth Stark?"
"Uh... no she's not here but I'll give it to her." The man handed the package to Elizabeth before walking away.
"Doll? What's in the box?" Bucky slipped on his sweatpants and walked up to her, watching Elizabeth open the box.
"The flash drive's. Why would someone send us the flash drive's?" Elizabeth looked at Bucky but he was in his own world, staring into the box.
"We don't know exactly what's on them so how about we watch mine?" Bucky finally made eye contact with Elizabeth.
"N-No. It's not for me to watch."
Bucky hand slowly moved to his silver flash drive and picked it up, looking Elizabeth in the eyes as he pushed it into the usb slot on the laptop. "I don't think I could do it without you, Doll."
—
It took a few minutes of Bucky's persuasion for Elizabeth to finally agree to watching his flash drive with him.
"Ready?"
Bucky nodded and Elizabeth's finger hovered over the mouse pad before she turned her attention to Bucky. "Whatever is on here will never change the way I feel about you."
He didn't look at her. He didn't talk. He didn't do anything until she pressed the mouse pad. Bucky flinched at the date that appeared on the small laptop screen.
Elizabeth's eyes widened at the sight of her dad. It was 1991 in December. December 17th to be exact. Her father was already dead. His head laid on the steering wheel as the killer's hands wrapped around her mother's throat.
Elizabeth gasped but she stopped Bucky from pausing the video.
Then, her mother was dead. The killer walked over to the camera, staring into it as he pointed his gun directly at it before shooting the camera, disconnecting it's power.
"Желание"
Bucky's metal arm quickly grabbed the laptop and threw it across the room. The sound scared Elizabeth but she couldn't move.
"Elizabeth" Bucky's voice was a low whisper but he wouldn't even look at her.
"I never saw the video before." Her tears started to stream as she looked to his bare back. "Tony never had the guts to show it to me." Bucky heard the noise of the sheets and the creaks on the floor as she took her quiet steps towards him. "You know, I was in the car with them."
Bucky turned around. His eyes and nose were red. So were his cheeks. Stained with dry tears. "What?"
"I was in the backseat. When my dad saw the motorcycle, he told me to get on the floor and hide under the back seat. I heard my father say your name. He recognized you. After all those years."
"I'm sorry, Elizabeth."
"I don't want your pity. Not anymore. We have the flash drives so let's just get home." Her eyes darted to the floor when her heel pivoted to the left for her to leave but Bucky took her hand and spun her around to face him.
He took out her hand and placed his flash drive in her palm making eye contact with her teary eyes, without saying a word to each other. she knew Bucky wanted her to watch the whole thing without him. But she'd never bring herself to do it.
Elizabeth was first to lose eye contact before she nodded and started to pack her bags. "We have a flight to catch tonight."
