San Francisco, California
A string of violent deaths led Sam, Dean and I to travel to the Golden Coast. People were being found dead on the streets, almost like they were attacked by a monster of some kind. We soon got word of a lawyer who's secretary found him violently killed in the same matter as the other reports.
I did what I could to be a professional, but it was really hard watching the secretary, who's name is Madison, gives Sam the "look," the same one that I've caught Alice give him multiple times at the hideout. This time, though, Sam didn't stop her. He was obviously also attracted to her as was Dean.
I had to clear my throat several times to Sam and Dean, trying to remind them that we were both on a case. However, I was mainly doing it to get Sam to stop giving Madison attention.
Yes, I'll admit it; I'm jealous. The worst part is I don't want to use my abilities to get Madison to back off because I knew that was wrong.
I just had to let it happen, and my God did it kill me...

"You think it may be possible that your ex boyfriend killed your boss?" I asked.
Madison sighed. "I don't know," she said, "He has been stalking me since the break up..."
"Was...was he violent towards you?"
She gave me a slow nod, and all of my jealousy towards her began to fade. I began to grow sympathetic towards her situation, so I took her hand and gave her a little smile.
I felt her relax and gave me a sad smile back. "People just don't know when to take no for an answer."
"Yeah," Madison said, "It's why I focused more on my work. I needed to become independent but...even then he still finds his way back to me."
"Well, that's his fault. He's a shitty man who needs to make other people feel weaker so he can feel stronger. It's...pathetic."
"I'm guessing you had your fair share of this."
"Not this far, but....my folks died when I turned 18. I began to sleep around...both with men and women. However, the first few times I tried to start something more...they would only see me as a good lay and nothing more. At first I let them think of me that way just to keep them in my life...but after I gained feelings for the next person...I just left. I was scared of the heartbreak."
Madison gave me a sympathetic look and nodded. She genuinely felt bad for me, and this caused my guilt for the earlier jealousy to worsen. Sam wasn't mine and she didn't know that I was falling in love with him.
"Why are you telling me this?" she asked.
"Well...you did kind of ask," I said chuckling.
She smirked and laughed a bit. "Yeah...I guess I kind of did," she said.
"Hey, Alice?" Sam said.
Alice was my fake name for the investigation.
Sam crooked his finger to me, letting me know that the three of us needed to talk privately.
I nodded and looked back at Madison. "Hold on," I said, "Think my partners found something."
I got up from the chair and met with Sam and Dean in the living room. "You guys have any ideas?" I asked.
"Yep..." Dean said, "Werewolf."
"Wait, really?"
"You seem surprised," Sam said.
"No it's just...you both don't come up with conclusions that quickly usually," I said, "We usually need to really research this before we settle on an agreement."
