1 year later
Dianna drove into the empty stadium parking lot. She un-buckled her seat belt and then took a breath for a minute. She looked at her tummy and felt it.
She hadn't told Alex yet. That's why she was here. He had a big game on to night. And people were already arriving for it.
She had left the kids with Marilin for the night and was really excited to tell Alex about the good news. She knew he had been nervous for this game but this news might help.
As she walked into the stadiums changing rooms and offices, she saw Alex's lawyer walking past her.
"Dianna, hi"
"Paul...hi, um...why are-"
"Paul!" Alex came around the corner and looked very surprised when he saw Dianna. He came over to her and kissed her on the lips. "What are you doing here so early?"
"Oh..i just have something to tell you-"
"What?"
Dianna wanted to tell him but her curiosity took over and turned to the tall man beside her "Why's Paul here?"
Alex looked from Paul to Dianna, before Paul cut in "I'll talk to you tomorrow Alex"
Dianna gave him a smile and then turned to Alex with a frown "What's going on Alex?"
"Nothing..Nothing, we were just talking..."
"About what?"
"Stuff. You know Paul, just pops in so-"
"No, Paul does not just 'pop in sometimes'..Alex, what the hells going on?" Dianna looked at him in confusement.
Dianna knew Alex too well to know when something was up with him, especially when he was hiding something from her.
Alex sighed and took out a newspaper from behind his back "Look, i didn't want to stress you about but...a women in Ohio...she's claiming that i am the father of her new born child!"
"WHAT?"
"I know, i know, its ridiculous, that's what i said. I mean, its not possible. That's what i told Paul and he's gonna take care of it"
"You mean, pay her!"
"Dianna.."
"No..don't Dianna me..is this...is this a picture of you with HER?" Dianna pointed at the main story in the front page of the newspaper.
Alex is smiling and has his arm around a young blonde women. He held a beer in his hands and seemed very drunk from the picture.
"So what..you thought i wouldn't pick up a paper? Or read a magazine? Or go on the INTERNET? Jesus Alex are you that stupid?"
"No..i was going to tell you Dianna, ok? I was! But with your mom and Marilin problem going on and everything els-"
"So what, You thought on top of all that you'd keep this a secret from me?"
"I'm an idiot" Alex spread out his arms but winced and put them back down. He grabbed his right shoulder which was bandaged up.
Dianna was mad at him but it still didn't mean she cared "What did you do now?"
"Its just my shoulder"
"Juts your shoulder? Alex, that the third injury this season!"
"Its football, I'm bound to get injured!"
Dianna rolled her eyes "You know what Alex, your right. You are bound to get injured but you know what else..."
"Di-"
"The game..this life...its killing you and its killing our marriage"

"This is it folks. This is what football is all about. Bringing rival team together and having them pay against each other. God i love america!"
"That's right Ted. And today is a great day to be here in the windy city as we are now in the second half of one of the most heated games in history!"
"This game had tensions running high in the stadium tonight. And no one really knows which team will come out on top!"
Dianna sat back down on her seat. She was in the red box and knew loads of people there but didn't wanna talk to anyone.
After her fight with Alex, she just wanted to go home but she couldn't. She had to support him. It was in the vows on their wedding day.
She sat at the edge of her seat, worried sick about Alex's shoulder. It had been acting up a lot. He had also complained about a headache this morning. She really didn't think he should be playing.
He was playing well though. He was getting many touch-downs and the crowd loved him. 'The king the king' they shouted, almost like they truly believed he could do anything.
Dianna got more nervous in the last dew minutes of it. Alex's team were winning but just barely. She also knew that after the game she had to talk. She hated talking
The crowd cheered which snapped Dianna out of her day dream. Everyone was standing so she followed. She saw the pitch.
Alex was running and the crowd were going crazy. He was running down the pitch, unstoppable and he knew it.
Dianna called out his name and cheered.
And within two seconds, everything went wrong.
Number 11 crashed into Alex, full force. He let the ball slips and it rolled out onto the side. That wasn't everyone concern.
Cause when Number 11 got back up, Alex was still down. His helmet seemed to have become lose and he was lying still on the ground.
The stadium went quiet as the paramedics came out onto the pitch. A group if melodics surrounding him, checking if he was alright.
Dianna tried to see more but she could from where she was. There seemed to be no response from him. Normally he's be up by now.
Everything went pause. The world stopping around him.
They called a stretcher onto the pitch that when Dianna went crazy.
"Alex! Alex" She called out, racing down through the people, down the stairs to the front of the pitch. She tried to get on the pitch but they wouldn't let her.
"Alex..Alex!" She shouted out, the members of his team trying to calm her down. She spotted Connor who was on the pitch.
He ran towards her and pushed the security out of the way "She's his wife. Make room"
She grabbed Connors arm and ran with him over to Alex, who was still not moving. He was on the stretcher now and they were moving him off the field.
"Alex...Alex can you hear me" Dianna called, tears in her eyes as she got to him. People tried to push her back but were just pulled away from her by Connor by her side.
She removed his helmet and gasped as she saw blood coming down his face from his head.
"Alex?" She cried.
"ALEX"
