Conflicting hearts

The versions of life.

Josh stood outside the room watching Dianna. She wasn't talking to Alex, just watching him.

The doctor had just chatted to him. He had given him all the information. Josh said he'd tell Dianna. It would go down better with him saying it.

Mandy had joined Marilin and Nina in the house. Connor was their too. And the kids. Dianna hadn't left Alex's side.

"I think...I'm gonna get some...coffee" Dianna stepped out of the room in a daze.

"I can get it Di-"

"No...no I think I just wanna get some coffee" Dianna walled down. Wiping her face.

Josh was going to stay outside bit some thing drew him in. He looked down at Alex.

"This is definitely the quietest I've seen you. Probably since I met you!" Josh tried cracking a joke but it didn't work.

He wondered of Alex could hear him. He hoped he could.

"God, you really hate me, don't you?" Alex's voice repeated in Josh's head.

"I don't hate Alex. You're the best thing that ever happened to Dianna. How could I hate you." His voice wobbling a bit as he looked down at Alex.

"You're a boomerang. You come weather we like it or not."

"You can't leave Dianna. She'll...She'll ruined. Destroyed. She won't be the same."

'I think you bring out the best in her like she brings out the best in you."

"Who cares what the doctors are saying. Doctors stupid. They don't know you.

"You can't leave."

Connor was reluctant to go into the room. Dianna was still away from the room and Josh was talking to more doctors, so Connor entered.

He sat down beside his best friend. He took him all in. His raising and faking chest. His pale face. The whole picture. He looked so peaceful.

"One day you're gonna meet someone that changes your life forever" Alex's voice echoed in his head.

"I think...I think Nina's the one man. I think she's the girl for me!"

"You like her, right? I hope you do. Cause I'm gonna marry her. And I need you. I need you to be my best man. I need you to be my guy!"

"You are my guy" His eyes filled up with water "You're always gonna be my guy" He reached for Alex's hand and squeezed it tight.

"Dianna needs you Alex. Your kids need you! You've got a kid on the way Alex, you can't drop out now. What is it you said about life? That its not important unless you've got something to live for"

"Well you've got something to live for Alex! You've for a wife and two kids, three. You've got me and the team. Your fans." Connor leaned in closer to him.

"Alex..." He whispered "Your the king. You...you can't go down with out a fight!" Connor left awhile after that. It was too hard to stay around and wait.

Dianna was in a state of shock. She didn't know how to cope. How to live. How to breathe. She didn't understand it. Life? It was cruel.

The universe had made sure that Dianna and Alex fell in love. It showed them real love. It pushed them together. It had been the universes mission for Dianna and Alex to stay together forever.

Dianna understood that. It was the only way. Whether you believe in god, or the universe or aliens...something made Dianna for Alex.

What Dianna didn't understand was why he was being taken away from her. Everyone when through deaths but Dianna had lost her dad and brother. Alex had lost his parents. It wasn't fair for them to lose each other.
