"Doll, wake up," Bucky shook the sleeping woman.

She groaned, rolling away from him, and continued to sleep.

"Sapphire, you need to wake up," he said. "It's your birthday."

She opened one of her eyes, "It's your birthday too. You deserve to sleep too."

"Come on. I want to take you somewhere. We didn't get to celebrate last year," he said, pecking her shirt-clad shoulder.

"Fine, I'm up," she said, sitting down rubbing her eyes.

Bucky chuckled, seeing her hair was a mess. "Good morning and happy birthday," he greeted, kissing her forehead.

"Hm," she hummed, her eyes closed. "Happy 99th birthday, Sergeant," she said, placing a kiss on his throat and dropping her chin on his shoulder, drifting to sleep once more.

"Shut up. And, no. You won't sleep. Up. Up," he said, pulling her away from him.

Sapphire grunted before stretching her body. Soon, they ate breakfast, changed, and left.

"Where are we even going?" She asked because he made her wear a hooded jacket. "It's not like people won't know it's me. I'm paler than white."

"It's just a precaution in case anyone is out there looking for us. I want us to have fun without any trouble," Bucky explained to her as they walked side by side.

"Your hair is getting longer. You want to trim it?" She asked him.

"I don't have any problems with it," he shrugged. "We stop here and wait for a cab."

As they waited, she stared at him. He was in his usual outfit, with the cap and gloves on. His jaw is filled with stubble.

And his body, let's not even go there. His buffness could still be seen despite the layers of his shirt, henley, and thick jacket.

They still spar at the small space that we have, moving the furniture against the wall.

Noticing that she was checking him out, he asked, "What?"

Sapphire chuckled, "Life is funny. Just 2 years ago, I was hanging while sleeping in prison, and now I'm dating a 99-year-old man."

"And I'm dating an alien," he retorted with his usual "Bucky" face that Sapphire calls.

She rolled her eyes, "Always serious and grumpy."

"Don't say it," he warned, looking down at her, knowing what will be next.

A smirk tugs her lips, "Like a true old man."

It was his turn to smirk as he finally hailed a cab, "We'll see about that."

Confused about what he meant, she didn't realize that the cab door was opened for her by Bucky.

They went inside, and Bucky told the driver their destination.

"What's there?"

"Patience," he said, knowing she doesn't have any.

Agitated on their way, Sapphire began to pull the strings of her hood, making Bucky chuckle.

"Calm down, we're here," he said before paying and exiting the cab.

They walked for 5 more minutes until they reached the place.

"What are we doing here?" Sapphire gasped as she saw what was in front of her.

"Ever been to one?" He asked.
