"I hate this game." Areum quickly muttered out as she stands firm in her spot.
Both of her parents are now lying down on hospital beds and in a critical state at the ICU. They won't move to private rooms until the doctors see stability in their condition, which they're not seeing right now.
She stared at them through tinted windows and rested her palm against the cold surface, standing and watching intently if there were changes to occur to their state.
"Did you say something, Areum?" Her aunt asked kindly. She replied with a slow shake of her head.
"Areum, why don't you sit down? I'm pretty sure your parents are going going scold me if I don't let you sit down." Her aunt tried to lighten the mood, ending her remark with a brittle chuckle.
"I feel like something's wrong with me." She suddenly opened up, shocking her aunt at the sudden confession.
"What?"
"This month have been quite problematic to us which you might have not known that much about." Areum replied to her aunt who seemed half-sassy, half-guilty.
"I... don't." She admitted, making Areum sigh.
Her family, her friends, and now rumors that seemed pretty bad for her career and Kotone's... she just can't help but feel like she's close to dying inher own game.
Her work is her life. That's where they get most of their livelihood and now, it's on the risk of getting lost in a blink of an eye.
"Why are you here Kotone?" Woozi asked in shock as he opened his studio door, unexpectedly visited by a person that should not be there.
"Um... to work?" Kotone answered, slightly confused at the sudden weirdness.
She then took the chance to look around and Wonwoo was there, seemingly looking down at his phone a bit too studiously.
"Haven't you seen the rumors?" Woozi then asked.
"Yes... what about them?" She simply replied.
Wonwoo's short chuckle rang through both Woozi and Kotone's ears as Woozi was still stunned.
"Why would I get affected if I'm not involved? I mean, look at the person actually involved in it..." Kotone pointed with her whole hand at Wonwoo.
He wasn't completely relaxed because Areum visited without talking to him about it.
Areum was tensed and he knew that too.
"... well, okay. Since you're here, talk some sense into Wonwoo. We think he's going crazy." Woozi then whispered at the younger colleague which earned him a worried stare.
"Me?" She questioned. Woozi just nodded as he bids a temporary goodbye with a tap on her reliable shoulder.
The door slowly closed as Kotone made her way to sit on the couch adjacent to where he's sitting.
"So... what's the problem?" Kotone immediately asked the somehow culprit, Jeon Wonwoo.
"I'm sure Areum's not feeling well right now." Wonwoo replied vaguely, almost sounding slightly distressed.
