My raging anger never left me as I went out of the building. I was so angry with all the ideas and unconfirmed thoughts that I have in mind.

The idea alone of my Dad having another woman is enough for me to ruin both of their lives.

I know that I haven't confirmed anything yet but my intuition says otherwise.

I was back in my car when my phone rang and it displayed Dad's name. There's no way in hell that I'm going to answer his calls. I would just probably lash out on him without knowing anything yet.

That same night, Dad didn't come home. I witnessed how my mom waited for her husband but not even a nibble from the first man I have ever loved.

Mom is a strong woman, I know that. But even the strongest person in the world also has her own limitations - and I just realized that when I heard my mom sniffing; tears running down her cheeks as she took a sip of coffee from her cup while sitting in front of the counter.

Something in me melted as the familiar pang of betrayal scrapped my chest.

I hate that I want to comfort my mother but I also know I can't entirely take the burden she's carrying with her. She can defend herself in front of the Supreme Court together with her client but somehow, her powerful words tend to be weaker when it comes to my Dad.

I've witnessed how she loved the man. She gave everything to be on par with the elite she married. I knew my Mom's family history. I knew that she's not as wealthy as my Dad but she adjusted for the sake of him. She tried to be a social butterfly in gatherings even though she preferred staying home.

She basically changed her lifestyle just to fit in my Dad's world; the world of elites.

But as years went by... I didn't know that Dad could do this to her. I didn't know that the loving and considerate father that I once knew is no nowhere to be found.

It's not because of work, that's for sure. She's running a real estate company and not a business process outsourcing company that needs 24/7 supervision.

Morning came and both mom and I are eating our breakfast when the revving of the engine was heard from the outside.

I looked at my mom to see her reaction but there was none. Her eyes were still puffy from crying last night but she's trying to hide it from me.

It didn't take long before Dad came straight to the dining area, all looking fresh and stress-free.

Glad you enjoyed the new toy you found.

"Hey mom..." he gently said as he placed a kiss on my mom's forehead. "Sorry, I need to finish some things in the office."

I almost snorted at his lies but I chose not to. I continued eating but I'm all ears for all the lies he's about to spit.

"It's okay." mom coldly replied.

I glanced at my mom before internally shaking my head. If I was being cheated on, I'll make sure to hire an investigator so I can have proof of his cheating then I'll proceed in dissecting every organ in his body.

"Eero." Dad called and went near me. He was about to kiss me on the cheek like he always do but I avoided his sudden action. "Eero..."

"Eat. You must be hungry from working your back so hard." I said in gritted teeth as I ate the last piece of meat in my plate.

He didn't say anything and just took his seat.

I kept myself busy by drinking coffee when Dad suddenly spoke again.
