Johnny and I had a great time. We walked all the way to the restaurant, which gave us time to talk.

"I can't believe that happened to you!" I exclaimed in response to Johnny's story. He was elaborating about when he was little, and he got hit by his sister's bike. He chuckled at my reaction and scratched the back of his neck. He really was a nice guy, despite all of the rumors that regard his reputation. But that all changed when SHE came walking along.

Everything was going smoothly. I even thought that he was sort of taking a liking to me. Until that little slut came.

She was a curvy girl with short, curly brown hair, and hazel eyes. She was really quite pretty, so I naturally became self conscious.

"Johnny?" she cooed, her high pitched voice sickening me. Johnny turned his head to her, a smile growing on his pale face.

"Jessica!" Johnny exclaimed, running over to her and planting a kiss right onto her red lips. I just stood there shocked.

"Who's this?" she asked, gesturing to me. I tucked a piece of red hair behind my ear.

"Oh, this is my friend Elonza." He pulled Jessica close to his chest. It killed me that he called me "Elonza."

"Oh, Johnny and I used to be 'friends'." she huffed. "Good luck, this one's a handful!"

"She's right!" he laughed. But I wasn't laughing.

"Johnny, I think I have to get going. I have a... er... an exam to study for..." I stuttered. I had never felt more awkward than I did now, and trust me, being the school nerd all my life, I felt pretty awkward all the time.

"Really? Aw, okay. I'll see you around... I guess." he replied with a monotonous grimace etched onto his handsome face. I felt even more awkward as I shuffled away down the sidewalk. I heard them chatting as I left, but I didn't dare look back. My pace picked up and soon enough I found myself in my dorm room with Sylvia.

"So how did things go with Johnny?" Sylvia questioned, straightening her hair. She was a bit of a narcissist and spent quite a lot of time in front of the mirror. She was also one to gossip, and I usually didn't share my relationship status with her (because I didn't have one most of the time), but I couldn't help but vent a little.

"Um... let's just say that he has a girlfriend..." I muttered under my breath. I hunched my shoulders and contracted a bit at the thought that Johnny didn't bother to tell me about Sarah.

"Not to be rude or anything, but if screw things up with that boy, he is mine." she demanded while running her fingers through her now straightened, black hair. "So hot." whispered a smirking Sylvia.

"Good luck getting him, like I said, he has a girlfriend. Her name is Sarah, and we saw her on a walk. She came right up to him and was all touchy-feely all over him. It was honestly kind of weird." I explained, hoping that Sylvia would back off the idea of going out with Johnny.

"Are you sure that they are dating?" she asked. "Because I know a bunch of people that are touchy-feely. Maybe they are friends or something."

"Sylvia, I think I'd know if they were just friends. She kissed him right on the lips."

"That doesn't mean anything. It's just a gesture of flirtation. She could be in the same boat as you."

"Yes, because Sarah definitely is an aspiring astronaut who was just assigned to go on her first mission to outer space." I huffed.

"No, not that. I meant that she is in the friendzone. She could just be trying to get at him like you are."

"I'm not trying to get at Johnny. And I'm just friends with him, I'm not in the friendzone." I defended, trying desperately not to sound like I liked Johnny, but I knew that she saw right through me.

"Because friends definitely kiss people in public..." Sylvia murmured in a slow voice, lining her eyes with a plum colored liner. She made a weird face with her mouth in an oval shape and her eyes bugging out of her head.

"Sylvia, let's just end this conversation here. I never kissed Johnny and I really don't plan on it any time soon." I stated. I heard a small buzz next to me and glanced over to see three text messages from Johnny. I grabbed my phone, stuffed it into my back pocket, and tip-toed out into the hallway before Sylvia could see me scamper out.

What happened today? Why did you rush out like that? - Johnny :/

I really hope your not mad with me. I'm really sorry about Jessica. - Johnny

Why aren't you responding??? - Johnny :(((

I sighed at what glared up at me from my phone. He apparently thinks I'm mad at him, even though I'm probably not; I haven't decided on my anger status yet. I opened up my phone and decided to text him back. I wouldn't want him to think I hate him or something ridiculous.

Johnny, I'm not mad at you. I'm just confused on why you would hang out with me if you already have a girlfriend. - Lonzie

He replied quickly, as I could see typing in the small icon in the corner of the screen.

Girlfriend! Haha! Are you kidding me?! Jessica's my cousin! I can't believe you thought she was my girlfriend!!! - Johnny XD

Then why did you kiss her? - Lonzie :/

Omg, Lonzie, it's an inside joke! All the cousins in my family kiss each other! It's a curtesy! - Johnny XD :)))

Haha I feel so stupid now! You text like a white girl! - Lonzie ;)

Thanks Lonzie! (That's sarcasm;)) I'm just glad you're not mad at me anymore. - Johnny:)

I never was, Johnny. I never was.
