𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐: 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐊𝐈𝐃𝐍𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆

I and Carol walked to the door of his big house after getting out of the car. Carol knocked on the door. I don't think if anyone is in because I can't hear any music or any noise of people. "You sure there was a party?" I questioned waiting for the door to open. "Yeah he invited both of us" she replied. 

The way Carol's eyes glow whenever there is William's name, she can't hide the feelings she has for him but I know. The black painted door opens with loud music coming out-

"Hi" Will said looking at me with his deep brown eyes from up to down like he was seeing me for the first time. "Hi!" Carol replied while we were locked into each other's eyes "there was a party right?" she questioned giving a fake laugh to catch the attention. Will awkwardly avoided my eyes and replied "yes! they are in the backyard." Carol made her way in through the door where Will was already standing covering half of the area.

Why are boys so dumb? and girls are so stupid. 

She has been waiting for him to look at her the way she looks at him but he never understands. I would never fall for someone who is never mine like how the hell she can love him when she knows he doesn't even know about it.

Shut up, Val! He is looking at you.

"Hey!" I said as my heartbeat doubles "so, how have you been? Long time." I let out a small laugh in the end. Wow! long time? It's awkward. We haven't talked for two years and he still hasn't moved on. It's way too awkward because he waited. 

"Yeah" he replied still standing in the way "life...has been going lately but not much." He completed we both looking at each other again awkwardly. His long brown strands of hairs coming on his forehead "Oh" he said getting out of the way after realizing he was blocking the way. 

I stepped into the house. Carol was already gone inside. I looked around seeing nothing was changed, everything was just like before that reminded me of my childhood "so many great memories" I murmured.

"I thought you forgot" he replied quickly as I completed my sentence as if he was waiting to let it out. I didn't see that coming. I knew he was upset but didn't expect this statement from him so soon. 

"No, not yet" I scoffed, he smirked a little but then it faded as a girl came running to me.

"Val you have grown so beautiful" she pleaded, I turned while Will stood beside me. "Um, Thank you" I replied smilingly. "I remember when we use to hang out together a lot, oh God what were those times. Now I got engaged" she said excitedly showing her fingers which has a golden ring "James" she turned calling someone from outside, probably his fiance.

"Who is she?" I mumbled rising to Will's ears, he is tall that I could hardly reach his face. "Um...I don't know" he replied looking straight at her.
