She is a badass with a good heart, soft but strong. Unapologetic and honest.
She is the type of woman you go to war beside,
She is the type of woman you marry.

Some memories never fade, even if you want to delete them from your life, you can't. Then they return as flashbacks, dreams but more often as nightmares. You can't run from them, you can't leave them. Some people say leave bad memories behind and have faith in better tomorrow. It's not that easy. My memories are stuck with me like an evil shadow that can't be shrugged off.

I prefer having poor memory than to have bad memories.

"How was your summer camp," Mum asked, sitting in the front seat beside Dad who was driving the car.

"Mom I already told you" I cried, swinging my tiny legs which were hanging from the seat "everyone sucks." I rolled my eyes and started playing with the hair of the doll resting on my lap.

"Don't be so rude, Val?" Mum said politely in her soft calming voice, tying her brunette hair up in a messy bun "they are your friends-"

"No!" I shouted cutting her statement "they are not. They are bad."

"What is wrong with you Val!" Dad snarled that scared me a bit "Keep your voice down when you are talking to your mother." He turned his head looking back at me from his black square glasses.

I jumped forward throwing my legs down and balanced myself between both of the front seats "They are not my friends except for Carol and Will" I replied innocently, making sure to keep my voice down I continued "rest of them just love your money, Dad."

"Hmm" Mum replied calmly looking forward at the road "William and Carol seem good to you."

"Yeah and Will gifted me a unicorn key chain when I was leaving" I excitedly jumped back to the seat and started searching it in my backpack, the moonlight coming through the window helped me find it. "A loud bang of the gunshot screeched in my 7-year-old ears before they went deaf. I looked up with my blurred vision balancing myself in the unbalanced car. Mum grabbed the steering to control the car while Dad's head was bleeding, his eyes were closed like he was already dead.

Mum's mouth was wide open. she was screaming while her eyes were full of terror, I got up from the seat where I was lying in the unbalanced car, before I could reach her she shouted at me and pushed me back to the seat from her other hand, her lips moved like 'Valeria lean down!' Tears started falling from my eyes and I screamed when another bullet came in breaking the windshield and Mum let go of the wheel slowly.

"Mamma!" I screamed as the car started rolling until I was flying in the air with the broken glass all around me. I fell on the seat hard and lose consciousness as the car fell on something hard.

A scream escaped from my mouth that woke me up shaking my whole body lying under the white heavy blanket. I got up and quickly grabbed a glass of water from the side table of my bed, I drank all in one breath that helped my heartbeat get normal slowly.
