Danger is real
but fear is a choice.---------------------------------

Some nightmares feel so real. Some whisper in your ears. And some are so much worse that you pinch yourself to shake. Then there are ones that won't let you escape even if you know the way out but you can't. Yesterday I lived these nightmares and Kai was there to save me. He did save me but with that, he left a mark on my heart. That mark is nothing but fear. Fear of his cruelness, fear of his past, fear of his cold heart and most importantly, fear of falling for him.

My body jolted with a long scream as I came to reality after watching a bloodbath that my brain chose to show me in my sleep whilst so many dark memories still resting in my mind.
My nightmares are like a horse that carries me home after giving me a look at the dark recesses of my brain.
I sighed in relief and got up, a pain shot up in my stomach and my legs, which was more like period cramps-
Oh no! God no! I removed the blankets off me and saw what I definitely don't want to. A red stain on my white frock and the white sheets. As my eyes hit those marks a scream passed my mouth but I slapped my mouth when I realized Kai was in the next room.
And trouble never asks for an invitation!
The next thing I heard was the sound of the door opening from near my room and in no time my door's nob was rolling. I forgot everything but to save myself from this situation.
I jumped out of bed and ran to the door flying in a second that as it opened a little my body hit the door slamming it back close. I sighed in relief. My heart was beating rapidly and looking back to the bed I was shocked, I made this distance in seconds?
"What the hell!?" Kai grunted from outside trying to roll the handle again that I had was grabbing.
"Nothing," I said, breathing steady. I opened the door just a little, leaning my head out so he won't look in, "What happened?"
"You tell me," He asked in a deep morning voice, raising his brows, his eyes were wide open and his hairs were all messed up like he was just out of bed.
"Umm...Yeah, I...I had a nightmare" his brows narrowed "that's no big deal I scream a lot whenever I have nightmares so..." I was still breathing hard, he scoffed sassily turning his head on the side, "I am sorry if I disturbed you that was not in my hands" I did some hand gestures so he can believe me, in a way it is true because I did have a nightmare but holding the door like this hiding myself from him accept for my face? "I am sorry about that. Can you send Emily?"
"Please?"
His brows came together in confusion as I gave him a grin "I need to tell her my breakfast preferences" he rolled his eyes and nodded infuriatingly then turned to walk away. Without wasting any time I shut the door.
*****
Emily helped me with things I needed. She washed and ironed my dress and helped me get ready for departure. Finally, I am going home.
