deena turned off her phone and looked at sam who was staring at her.

"what are you looking at?" deena asked.

"nothing, feisty." sam answered. "who are you talking to?"

"none of your business, goldilocks." deena said.

"okay then." sam said with a light chuckle. "what are we doing again?"

"a project about space." deena said as she started writing on her notebook.

"what are we? in kindergarten?" sam asked.

"do you want to pass or not?"

sam shrugged and the whole room turned silent.

"hey umm.. i have a question." sam spoke up to get rid of the awkward silence.

"ask." deena said, not even looking at the girl.

"why do you hate me so much?"

deena laughed at her question and shook her head. "it's just the fact that we've known each other since the first grade and have the same classes every year. you're just like any other blonde chick. a bitch, a cheerleader, dates the popular guys. it's not rocket science. people like you just irritate me."

sam was taken aback and looked down to the ground, awkwardly. "okay? i'm sorry but you don't know me at all."

"oh yeah? let's see about that. you're samantha fraser, you're a cheerleader, you dated almost every guy on the football team but really you're a lesbian who's trying to keep it a secret which failed miserably. you bite your lip when you're nervous and you suck at basically almost every subject. you love to slack off. does that about cover it?"

"jesus. i never asked for you to say a whole damn essay about me. i'm actually flattered more than offended. most of my friends don't even know me as much as you do." sam chuckled. "i guess i have a stalker."

"i'm not a stalker." deena laughed. "you wish i was." she muttered.

"hm?" sam hummed.

"nothing." deena said with a sarcastic smile as both of the teenage girls carried on with the project.
