Adopted by Jaden and Josh

Chapter 8: Talking

Jaden's pov:

Jackson: it's just when Josh said I was grounded I just got scared

Jaden: why did you get scared

Jackson: because when we were with our real parents whenever we would get grounded you would think that it's just your not allowed to leave the house or anything but no we would get beat really badly and would get locked in the basement for weeks with no food or water

Jaden: oh my gosh we would never hurt you guys like that

Jackson: that's what the others said when they adopted us

Jaden: well were not like those other people

Jackson: and that's why Matthew doesn't really talk much only when he's around me is when he talks a lot because he gets nervous around people because of our past

Jaden: well you guys don't have to worry about that because were never going to do anything to you and if there's ever something on your mind or you need to talk to someone were here to talk

I said while standing up from the chair. Jackson stood up too.

Jackson: thanks dad

He said while hugging me tightly. I hugged him back and  kissed his head and then put my chin on his head. We stood there for a while just enjoying each other's comfort. I then heard Josh, Matthew and Carter walk in the kitchen.

Josh: hey you having a hug without us

Josh said while laughing. We all laughed.

Jaden: come here

I said opening one of my arms for them to come into. We all had a group hug.

After a while we all pulled away from the hug.

Josh: I'm gonna start making dinner

Jaden: okay

I quickly pecked him on the lips and then we walked away to the living room while Josh was making dinner.
