Adopted by Jaden and Josh

chapter 12: Grounded

Jaden's pov:

I walk up to the house and knock on the door. After a little while a boy who looks about 17 answers the door.

The boy: can I help you?

Jaden: hi yes um my name is Jaden Hossler and my son he snuck out so I tracked his phone and it lead me here so do you know if he could be here

The boy: what's his name?

Jaden: his name is Jackson

The boy: yeah he's here somewhere

Jaden: do you think I could come inside and look for him

The boy: sure

Jaden: thank you

I walked in the house and there were so many people. I squeezed through people while trying to find Jackson but I didn't see him inside the house so I went outside to see if he was out there. I was walking and I saw a boy who looked just like Jackson and he was with a girl who looked about 16. I walked over there with a mad look on my face and walked up behind Jackson and I motioned the girl in front of him to be quiet

Jaden: what do you think you're doing?!

Jackson jumped and turned around and saw me. He had a scared look on his face while the girl just stood there not doing anything.

Jackson: dad, what are you doing here?

Jaden: I should be the one asking you that, what have I told you about sneaking out

Jackson: dad, it's just a party

Jaden: just a party! There are people here that are older than you and there's a whole bunch of guys here who don't look friendly

The girl: um I think I'm gonna go over there

The girl said while pointing over to a group of girls. She starts walking away when Jackson grabs her arm.

Jackson: no you can stay

The girl: no really I think I should give you and your dad some space to talk

She gets out of his grip and walks over to these group of girls.

Jackson: dad

Jaden: I don't wanna hear it, let's go were going home

Jackson: no I'm staying here

Jaden: Jackson now

Jackson just rolled his eyes and followed me out of the house and we walked to the car. We made it to the car and Jackson just stood in front of the car with his arms crossed.

Jaden: get in the car

He gets in the back seat of the car in between Matthew and Carter. I went over to the passenger seat and sat down. We drive off and start driving back home. I look back to look at Jackson and he was just looking out the window with his arms still crossed. After an hour of driving we finally arrive back home and it's now 1 in the morning. We all walk inside quietly since the rest of the boys were sleeping.

Josh: okay Matthew and Carter you can go back to bed

Jackson: what about me?

Jaden: no, we're having a talk

Matthew and Carter went upstairs and went back to sleep.

Josh: sit

Josh told Jackson as he pointed to the couch motioning for Jackson to sit on the couch. He sat on the couch and looked down at the ground while me and Jaden stood in front of him with our arms crossed.
