Adopted by Jaden and Josh

chapter 11

Josh's pov:

We were all currently sitting in the living room watching a movie. Jackson was cuddling with me, Carter was cuddling with Griffin and Matthew was cuddling with Jaden. The movie was over and Carter and most of the boys were asleep. The only ones awake were me, Jaden, Jackson, Matthew and Griffin.

Griffin: do you want me to go take Carter upstairs and put him to bed?

Josh: if you don't mind

Griffin: I don't mind at all

Griffin said as he got up from the couch and carefully picked Carter up and took him upstairs.

Jaden: it's getting late so why don't you boys head upstairs and get ready for bed

They both nodded and went upstairs, me and Jaden sat on the couch for a little while.

Josh: how does it feel taking care of three kids

Jaden: it's a little hard but I'm glad we decided to adopt all three boys

Josh: me too

Jaden: I'm just mad at Bryce for hurting Jackson

Josh: I know I am too but he's not here

Jaden: he might come back and try and take the boys back since he still has the house key so he can come back any time

Josh: just don't worry about Bryce the boys will be fine

I leaned in and kissed him and he kissed back, we kissed for about 2 minutes and then pulled away.

Josh: I love you

Jaden: I love you too

He said and kissed me again before pulling away and getting up from the couch. I got up from the couch too and started heading upstairs. I walked to Jackson's room and saw him asleep in his bed, I went over to his bed and kissed his head. We then made our way to Matthew's room, we were in front of his bedroom door and we heard him mumbling again. We walked in his room and saw him tossing and turning in his sleep. I walked over to his bed and sat down next to him and shook him lightly.

Josh: Matthew wake up

He didn't wake up he just kept mumbling and tossing and turning.

Josh: bubs wake up

He finally woke up and tears were rolling down his face. I pulled him closer to me and he rested his head on my chest with his arms around my waist holding me tight. I was rubbing his back and whispering sweet things to him.

Josh: did you have another nightmare?

Matthew: yeah

Josh: can you tell me what it was about

Matthew: it was about that Bryce guy who hurt Jackson and that he came back with my real parents and took me away from you

Josh: that's not gonna happen we won't let Bryce or anyone do anything to you guys

Matthew: I'm just scared

Josh: it's okay we won't let him hurt you, okay?

Matthew: okay, could you stay here with me until I fall asleep again

Josh: of course

I laid down next to him and he wrapped his arms around me. I rubbed his back and after a little while I hear tiny snores coming from him. I carefully get out of his bed and make my way to mine and Jaden's room. I was passing by Jackson's room and I opened his door to go check on him. I walked in his room and I didn't see him in his bed. I checked his bathroom and he wasn't in there. I quickly go over to mine and Jaden's room and see Jaden asleep. I go over to him and shake him.

Josh: wake up

He just groans and turns to his side and goes back to sleep.

Josh: Jay come on wake up, Jackson's not in his room

Right when I said Jackson's name he immediately woke up.

Jaden: what do you mean he's not in his room he was in there when I checked on him

Josh: I just got back from Matthew's room because he had another nightmare so I stayed with him until he fell back asleep and after he fell asleep I walked to Jackson's room to check on him and he wasn't in there

We both leave our room and make our way to Jackson's room. I open the door and see he's still gone.

Josh: see he's gone

Jaden: where could he have gone

Josh: I don't know, he probably snuck out somewhere

Jaden: didn't we put a tracker on his phone

Josh: yeah, we can track his phone and then go get him

Jaden: okay

I start tracking Jackson's phone and after about 30 minutes I found a location.

Josh: Jay I found his location

Jaden: well where is he

Josh: it says he's about an hour away

Jaden: well let's go get him

We quickly get dressed and I go to Matthew's room and I go over to him and shake him lightly

Josh: bubs wake up

He slowly wakes up and looks at me and then looks over at the doorway and sees Jaden

Matthew: why did you wake me up

Josh: we have to go get your brother

Matthew started freaking out and his breathing started going faster

Josh: bubs calm down

Jaden comes over to us and bends down in front of Matthew. He puts his hands on his legs.

Jaden: just follow my breathing

Matthew's breathing wasn't going back to normal and his breathing was still going fast.

Josh: Jay you go wake Carter up I'll stay with Matthew

Jaden: okay

Jaden leaves the room and I bend down in front of Matthew like Jaden was.

Josh: calm down bubs follow my breathing

Finally Matthew's breathing goes back to normal

Josh: are you okay?

Matthew: yeah, but where's Jackson

Josh: I don't know he snuck out somewhere so we have to go get him and bring him back home

Matthew: when we go get him will he be in trouble

Josh: yes he'll be in huge trouble for sneaking out this late at night

Matthew: what's his punishment

Josh: me and dad are just gonna ground him for a week and we won't let him leave the house while he's grounded

Matthew: okay

Jaden walks in the room with a tired Carter on his hip. We all walk out of Matthew's room and go downstairs and out the front door and get in the car, then drive off. After about an hour of driving we arrive at a house and there were a whole bunch of teenagers and loud music.

Jaden: is he at a party?!

Josh: I think so

Jaden: okay I'll go in and get him you guys stay in the car

Josh: are you sure you can handle it by yourself

Jaden: yes

Josh: okay be careful

Jaden leaves the car and starts going towards the house.
