The omega wanted to swallow himself in his blanket and go to a different dimension. He felt so small around Jin, kind of intimidated by the alpha which rarely happens with him. It may be because of how Jin is a little tense around him, sad but piercing glare looking at him.
It doesn't help with the fact that Jin very clearly goes to the gym when he can. He's kind of buff, shoulders bolder than the last time he's seen the alpha. His his black hair grew a little bit, shaping into a mullet.
They all sat down on Taehyung's couch, Tae looking down at his lap while playing with his finger nails.
Taehyung could feel two pairs of eyes on him, making him nervous, more on the fact that he knew that it was Jin looking at him with his red eyes.
"Is it true?" Jin started. "You cut off the secret agency and left the mission because you fell in love with Jeongguk?" Straight to the point.
Taehyung quickly nodded his head up and down, biting his bottom lip before he started talking, "It's true. I realized at the gala."
"I know. I've heard." Jin mumbled. Taehyung looks at Jimin with furrowed eyebrows but turns away, thinking on how it shouldn't matter how they know anyways. What's done is done.
"Did he let you explain?" Jin questioned him like he was in some interrogation room, boring deep into his soul.
Taehyung answered him though, reliving that night, "He didn't. He thought that he already had his answer."
Jin sighs, closing his eyes and rubbing them. Jin could understand why Jeongguk didn't let the omega explain at all, but it would have at least saved some heartbreak. It would still be there, yes. It would still take time build trust back. But the results would have been different if they just talked.
Still, Jin would probably be the same as Jeongguk if he found out the love of his life was spying on him and working for your sister.
"After a whole month or two of being apart from Jeongguk, I've tried to talk to him. But I butted out when–.." Taehyung could feel tears rushing, so he puts his head in his hands, groaning at the thought of Jeongguk with someone else.
"W-when I saw Ggukie with someone else at the c-club." Taehyung breathes deeply before continuing, "I felt so conflicted after that. After he told me he loved me and only had eyes on m-me. But we were never really together." Taehyung rubs his tears away, "He wants nothing to do with me."
Jimin frowns, going over to sit beside the ready omega. He hugs Taehyung, comforting him and stroking his black fluffy hair, "Jeongguk still loves you, trust me. He's just....the both of you are heartbroken. He's trying to move on but is only hurting himself." Jimin softly said.
"Which is another reason on why we're here." Jin adds. "I know the truth now, and I still don't really like you like that but you're Jeongguk's happiness. You need to talk to him." Jin told. Taehyung shook his head at what the Alpha had said.
"I don't think he wants to talk to me nor be around me. And I don't know if I can–"
"Taehyung, I'm sorry for forcing you on this and all, but you waiting again or assuming is not going to get the both of you nowhere. You both need to talk, need a closure." Jimin says. "You both can't just live on with y'all life without knowing the truth and misunderstandings. It's going to hurt and I definitely don't want to see that happen."
Jimin is right. Again.
It'll bug him for the rest of him living on this earth. Knowing what could have been the future if they did talk.
Taehyung just needs to get it together and tell Jeongguk about him leaving the agency and telling him that he loves the Alpha so much.
"I'm going to tell him. I'm going to do it."
Jin breathes out an fresh air at what Taehyung said, hoping that Taehyung and Jeongguk could both resolve this when they talk.
