I Will Always Love You

~Wedding~

~Jewel's POV(1 Year Later)~

It's been a year since Jenna, Derek, and I graduated from college and since then I've become a major writer and can do it from just about anywhere. After graduation was over, Derek took me out to dinner and it was there that he proposed to me. It wasn't easy for me to say yes, but I knew that this might be the only way to get over Chibs. I'm kinda hoping he doesn't come to the wedding even though I sent a group invite to all the guys and their girls. Sadly that invitation included Chibs, I didn't really have a choice in that. It's been a year since I last saw him, and a year since I said yes to marrying someone that I don't even really love. I've tried so hard to fall in love with Derek, but I've given up a lot to be with him, I don't ride anymore, and I don't dress how I used to. At the moment I'm sitting in my dressing room believe it or not in a church, I'm positive I've sinned more than people think. I stood by the door waiting for the music to start, when it finally did, I walked out of the room starting my walk down the aisle. I slowly walked up the steps to Derek before the priest started the ceremony, the priest looked out at everyone before speaking.

"We are here today, to join this man, and this woman in holy matrimony. If there is anyone who wishes to object to this union, speak now or forever hold your peace."

I looked at everyone until my eyes landed on Chibs, he stood up, but sat back down, only to stand up again and speak.

"I object."

I looked at him.

"Chibs, what are you doing."

"Saving you from the biggest mistake of your life..."

I looked at him before he continued.

"I'm in love with you Jewel Jay James, I always have been and I always will be, but I know for a fact that you don't love him. "

"And just how do you know that?"

"Because you don't look at him how you look at me, even now I see love in your eyes as you look at me. He has taken every part of you and turned it inside out, he took away pieces of you and you know I'm right. How long has it been since you've ridden? a year maybe more, I know that you would never be married in a church if you had a say in it, and you sure wouldn't be in that plain boring white dress. Especially since your first dress had black lace and was short in the front with a long train, you don't want this."

He started walking towards me, and when he got to me he continued...

"You would never have to change for me, not like you've had to change for him, and you know it. If you want to marry him, then say it, if not, then take my hand and marry me."

I looked at him.

"Are you kidding me?..."

He backed away and I continued.

"I was ready to marry you, and you left me with a note, I was ready to spend the rest of my life with you and you left me. Then you show up here and say all of the things that are so true, I do still love you and I always will, and your right Derek has taken parts of me and trashed them."

I looked at Derek.

"Derek, I can't marry you."

I saw anger in his eyes and the next thing I knew I felt a burning sting on my cheek and I knew right then that he hit me in a church. I looked at Chibs and knew that he was about to kill someone, I grabbed Derek by the ear and dragged him outside and it was there that I spoke.

"You fucking piece of shit, you think that you can fucking hit me and get away with it, well fuck you."

I kicked him down the stairs and then looked at him.

"If you ever lay hand on me or any other girl ever again, I will make sure that you regret it for the rest of your miserable natural born life, do you understand me?"

He nodded his head and I looked at Chibs to see him smiling, I then looked at Gemma to see my old wedding gown in her hands, I looked at Chibs.

"We're getting married?"

He nodded his head and I ran into his arms.

"Not here, let's go home."

He smiled nodding his head before we headed back to Charming so he and I could finally be together the way we should've been years ago.
