"This place is not quite what it seems, or anything that I was told it'd be."

Being front row is not as splendid as everyone assumes it is. Ridiculously insane fans are shoving you from all directions as other greedy ones pushing forward and squashing you against the barrier. I'm pretty sure I lost my blood circulation at some point due to my organs being crushed with the unbelievable force of the fans.

My patience is wearing thin and I'm about to call it quits and leave the concert and go home. I could just send Calum an apology text.I try to convince myself fully aware he would still be upset by it. However, as I look up at my old best friend swaying to the music while allowing the lyrics to flow out of his mouth, I knew I didn't want to e anywhere else.

It seems so effortless for him, like it has been sitting on his voice box patiently waiting to be released in to the vicinity of the audience. The whole crowd falls under his spellbinding tranquility, and as my fingers release from my sturdy grip on the metal pole of the barrier, my eyelids gradually fall over my eyes as I succumb to him as well.

For once, I understood. There is a certain resolved feeling that he gains when performing. You can hear in the silence of his mind but power of his voice, you can see, with the way his fingers clasp around the microphone so tightly. Almost like it's his weapon, his armor, his release. I finally understand.

After a few more songs I finally manage to enjoy the concert, completely forgetting about the crowd and just focusing all my energy in the way the music seeps into my ears and traveles around my body, lighting it up in mere seconds.

The band was taking a break from preforming and began answering tweets and sharing stories with their fans. I was laughing at a lame joke Ashton told the audience when the story Michael starts sharing sounds familiar.

"GUYS, guess what happened?" He screams into the microphone before turning to Calum erupting into a puddle of giggles. "Would you like to share what happened before the show Calum?"

"What happened before the show?" Calum, who has a confused expression on his face, asks. It doesn't take long for something to click in his head and his face switches to embarrassment.

"Ohhh, that..."

Luke slapps his hand on Calum's shoulder and reveales the story. "Well lads, this dumbass accidentally broke a girl's nose by slamming a door on her face!" He announces before bursting into laughter.

The entire arena is filled with howling laughter, clearly amused with Calum's foolishness and embarrassment. I take my phone out of my back pocket as I shake with laughter, tweeting Calum saying:

@summer4danes: FYI, my nose isn't broken, hahahaha

I watch him as the laughter dies down, soon he is taking out his phone. He releases a hushed giggle and begins to search the crowd. His eyes land on me after a few seconds and I swear is goofy smile gets bigger, taking up a good quarter of his face. He mouths a quick sorry. Shaking my head while laughing I reply with a quiet it's fine. A second later my phone goes off- A tweet from Calum.

@Calum5SOS: Im still sorry!

They announce that they are going to perform their last song on their last show on the tour, Ashton added his and the bands immense gratefulness before hitting his sticks together four times as they start to rock out to a familiar song.

As soon as the last note rings out they all disappear from the stage in a matter of seconds and after the audience release a few ear piercing screams the crowd starts to die down.

A permanet smile is etched onto my face as I make my way towards the exit. My blood turns to iceas a large man grabs my arm. Please don't hurt me. s the first thought that comes to my mind.

"Are you Summer Danes? Calum Hood is looking for you." The large man asks.

Relief floods through me at the mention of Calum. I nod my head and he leads me to the back.

I enter a door to find four sweaty boys laughing. Michael notices me first.

"SUMMER! Did you like the show?" He screams as he hugs me.

"Yeah! It was really great! I'm beating myself up for never listening to you guys!" I confess.

"We should all go out and celebrate the last show of the tour!" Luke suggests, pausing a moment before adding, "You should come Summer!"

The word 'yes' was just about to roll off my tongue when suddenly all the responsibilities seem to crash into me. I have to pick up my siblings, I have to make sure my dad has not passed out in the front lawn, I have to...

They all looked at me expectantly. "I-I...I uhm. Sorry, I can't." Calum looks a little bummed so I quickly reassure them "We can hang out later, if you want?"

They all nod and  hug me goodbye. Cal is last and he holds on just a little bit longer than the rest.

"Okay, I have to go now, night Cal."

"Goodnight Summy" He giggles before hugging me one last time. I roll my eyes but snicker nonetheless at his relentless use of my nickname before scurrying out of the venue.
