"...and every time I think of him it makes me sick and I don't wanna know just what happened..."
At first, the thought of going to a party didn't bother me, in fact it sort of excited me, but as the hours whizzed by and I realized that I would be stuck in a house where I know a total of four people, anxiety started punching at my gut. In truth, I've never actually been to a party, mostly because I don't get invited to many, but even if I were I wouldn't be able to actual go due to the lack of parenting available in my household.
After five hours of endlessly thinking about the whole Calum situation, completely agonizing every scenario and another 3 hours discussing it with Lily, she told me that if I let more thing pass me by in my life I would end up "sitting in some rusty old apartment, watching other people prospering and laughing because you managed to constantly neglect your well being and happiness", and as soon as she said it, I made my decision. My conscious was smacking her head, I warned you she'd say.
"What to you even wear to a party" I mumbled to myself, while looking through my joke of a closet, before seemingly giving up and calling the one person I always contact in a time of crisis
"Hey biatch," Lily says answering the phone, "What do you want?"
"Well aren't you a delight" I roll my eyes, "I just wanted to ask you... what do you think is should wear to the party?"
Her tone changes as if we were finalising plans for a bank robbery. "What kind of party is it?"
"I don't know, a party, party!"
"Okay, you want something that's hot and sexy without being too out there, ya know?"
No, I obviously don't know that is why I'm calling you".
"Jeez you bother me. I'll be there in five with some options."
"LIFE SAVER, YOU ARE!"
----
By the time Lily drops me off at the beach house -after applying "natural make up" to my face, straightening my hair, painting my nails jet black and trying on eight different outfits only to settle for the first one-the party was already in full swing. She tells me to have fun and I tell her to keep a careful watch on my siblings, who are at her house with her dad right now.
As soon as I step inside through the front door I'm greeted with a buff guy that reeks of beer, he slipped past, well not so much slipped as he unintentionally shoved me to the side with his bicep, making me lose my balance and fall flat on my behind. Wow, what great way to start your first party I think to myself as two muscular legs appear in front of me. I look up to see an unfamiliar yet cute, face.
"Need some help?" He stretches out a tanned hand, and I grab onto it, kind of flustered and hastily. I started dusting the sides of my legs completely forgetting about the stranger standing in front of me.
I look up to see his face to feet away from me, "Oh fudge sorry, thank y-" I ramble before he cuts me off.
"Fudge?" he asks with an amused smile.
"Yeah, I'm like a not into swearing, because I have this looming fear that I'll swear in the middle of, like, an important event like a funeral or something, and also because I'm always with my little brother and sister and if they hear me swear they'll probably adopt that trait and you know it they go up to my dad say 'yo bitch gimmie some fucking food' we'd have some problems, not that my dad would cook them anything anyway bu-" I realize that I haven't took a breath in between my words when I see him laughing hysterically. "I'm rambling like an absolute weirdo I am, aren't I?" My cheeks heat.
