Finding Loki

10. Hi again

When you arrive at the hotel, neither of you is speaking anymore. You're both caught up in your own thoughts. The chance that you encounter Loki is so small. The only possibility is that he found a way to travel to the universe not long ago and that you're heading there at the same time. Which is nearly impossible.

"If Loki has already been there, do you think this Collector guy will help us track him?" you ask Thor.

"I don't know. It helps that I'm the crown prince of Asgard, he doesn't do favors to normal people." says Thor while collecting his stuff.

"Why are you packing your bag?"

"Because we're heading back to Asgard."

"Why? Can't we travel directly to The Collector."

"We can, but I want to have our stuff there, for when we return."

You don't quite understand where he is going with this.

"Thor, I'm not following you."

"Once we have visited The Collector, I will bring you back to Asgard."

You try to make sense of his words, get a grasp on some sort of plan.

"Bring me back to Asgard? Do you know for sure we will find Loki with The Collector? Do you think he is holding him captive? How dangerous is this guy?"

"No. I just know that if Loki is going through these great lengths to find something, he has a whole plan ready for when he finds it."

"Like taking over earth?"

"Like taking over earth."

"But he isn't gonna do that though." you say determined.

"No. But something like that."

Thor seems cold, his sentences are short and his voice is numb.

"What is it?" you ask.

No response.

"Thor, what is it?" you ask more stern.
You walk over to him and lay a hand on him. "Thor, talk to me."

"I thought he was done. Done with all these nonsense. I truly believed he might be searching for you. I didn't want to believe in some big scheme."

"Thor, I told you, he wasn't searching for me anymore. He showed some remorse, by wanting to get me out of there, because I helped him by ruining my own life. You paid that dept for him and now he can go free and do what ever he desires."

"And he desires power."

"I guess he does. I did too want to believe that he just desired freedom."

You freeze, as you realize a promise.

"No. No no no." you murmur as you start pacing through the room. "Damn it, Loki." you say to yourself.

"Y/n, what is it."

"He made another promise."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know. I don't know if he really meant it. You know he is a hot head. Maybe they were just words, you know, sometimes you say something you don't mean..." you start to ramble on.

"Y/n!" says Thor stern. "What. Is. It."

"He said he would kill Steve."

"What?!"

"Steve pissed Loki off. They fought. And Loki said he would kill Cap. But I don't know if he meant it."

"Damn it Y/n, and you're only realizing this now?" Thor seems agitated.
