the party

Carti slept the whole 14 hour flight from California to Sweden. He woke up to Rocky shaking him awake, phone in one hand and something small and rectangular in the other.

"Get up, man, we gonna be late!" he said, pulling back and gently tossing the small and rectangular object at Carti.

"Don't forget this," Rocky said, turning away and going to walk out the plane doors.

Carti looked down and saw the small object he had thrown at him was his inhaler. He thought he had misplaced it last night, but apparently A$AP had found it somewhere. He shoved it in his pocket and followed his friend out the door.

They speed walked through the airport and jumped into a big black SUV. The driver greeted them in Swedish and sped off in the direction of the party. They sat in silence for most of the ride, until about 15 minutes later when they pulled up in front of the biggest house Carti had seen since their arrival.

There were people covering the lawn of the huge house, all holding red Solo cups or glass bottles of something clear. He could tell the music was loud even from inside the car. He looked around again and thought himself, This is gonna be fun.

He and Rocky hopped out of the SUV and slammed the doors shut. The driver gave one last nod in goodbye and drove away. The two walked past all the people outside and took a step into the giant home.

Inside was just as packed as compared to outside. Everything was dark except for the flashing colored lights surrounding them. The music was deafening, the smell of alcohol reeked in the air, and not a single person was standing still.

Perfect, he thought.

"Hey, guys! What's up?" shouted a voice from behind them.

The two whipped around to see John Ehmann, A$AP Rocky's manager, standing there with his arms open in greeting. They made small talk for a moment before John turned to Rocky.

"Hey, man, let's talk for a second. There's someone here I want you to meet," he said.

The two walked away, leaving Carti alone to fend for himself. No problem, though. He was used to this.

He walked around for a minute, getting the feel of the place. After scouting around for a moment, he sat down on one of the big couches and sighed. Still tired from the tour, he leaned his head back and tried to relax, despite the chaos going on around him.

"Hey," said a voice in front of him.

He sat up and opened his eyes. In front of him was a shorter blond white guy holding two red Solo cups, each filled with a purplish liquid.

"Yo, what's up?" Carti said, rubbing his eyes and readjusting them to the flashing lights.

"Yeah, hey, man, do you want one?" said the guy in a Swedish accent. "It might help you feel better."

"Oh, yeah, sure," he said, reaching out to grab what was clearly lean. He took a swallow and leaned back on the couch.

The shorter guy stood there a bit nervously. "I just wanted to introduce myself," he said. "My name's Jonatan, but I go by Yung Lean. My friends and I are doing a lot of shit right now that I think could really take off, and I was wondering if you could take some time to listen to it-"

Carti didn't hear a word he said. He was too focused on the beautiful boy that had just walked up behind Lean. His longer curly brown hair fell into place like dominos against his fair skin, and his blue eyes practically shined across the room. His small smile made Carti's heart light up, and he leaned forward just to get a better look at him.

"So, uh, what do you say?" Lean questioned hopefully.

"Um, yeah- yeah, sure, man, just give me one second," he said, getting up to talk to the stunning man who had just walked into his life.

He stood in front of the stylish and handsome bloke, and looked into his eyes with a grin.

"Hey," he said. "What's your name, fine fella?"

The boy blushed. "I am Bladee," he said.

"Bladee, Bladee," Carti repeated. "I like that name. What do you say we talk for a little bit, get to know each other?"

"Sure, I'd like that," he answered, also in a Swedish accent.

The two walked off, leaving Lean standing there alone. His best friend had just walked off with the guy he was trying to impress. To make it even worse, at his own party! He slunk off, and decided to leave the two of them alone for the rest of the night. He didn't need them.

But deep down, he knew he did.
