Why me?

The rusted colours of dusk blending in together with the cool and calmness of the blue night as the sun casted it's long shadows upon the city, skyline buildings shimmering with glory, their perfectly shaped edges being highlighted in all the right ways, making them seem even more spectacular than they were ever before. The final rays of the sun calling a last goodbye, bleeding in through the horizon, from amidst the peeks and crevices of the partings of the many leaves of an oak tree, streaks of golden leaked out and sputtered trails of molten gold on Yusarin's face as she kept staring into nothing in particular into the west, the sorrowful pools in her deep purple orbs mirroring the splendid scenery before her.
It was beautiful.
So beautiful.
It was so gentle and so pure, the mystified auburn streaks dissipating into darker hues and then finally evaporating into nothingness, that emptiness lingering on for just an instant before it was replaced by a cluster of sparkling stars seated comfortably on the clear sky.
Heaving slight pressure on her knees using her gloved palms, she rose up from where she was sitting along the riverbank, the turbulence of clear waters now only reflecting the unveiled diamonds above them. The distinct dark leaves of the trees mingling into togetherness to give the appearance as if there was just one collection basking gently under the endearing beams of the moonlight.
Straightening her posture in an attempt to take slow, purposeful strides and walk away, her mind wandered about the events earlier this day. How pleadingly Valt had asked her to join the BeyClub at school and she had to decline the offer as she wasn't a blader, unlike them, and didn't take the slightest interest in whatsoever the game he had mentioned earlier. Even so, she found herself trying her best to ignore and distract herself from the constant nagging and hopeless requests of Valt, asking her to become their Bey Trainer or to just meet his friends who were said to be practicing at the rooftop.
Not knowing how to react to such unfeasible and mundane requests of a fourteen year old who portrayed himself to be not more than six in terms of intellect, and unwilling to risk of accidentally hurting him with her pent up rage and frustration to his persistent cavilling, she couldn't help but ignore him all throughout the class time, which involved him in being punished for an entirety of forty minutes when he attempted to talk to her several times during the math class. The math teacher, the old fogey had given him several warnings and when things finally got out of his hand, he decided that he finally had enough and proceeded on to grant him with an exemption from his lecture by leaving him to stand outside the class holding two buckets of water.
Even though, as funny and hilarious as it seemed to the others, it was quite painful for the one who was actually being punished. However, in spite of all the embarrassment he had to endure, Valt had still not given up on making her one of them. As tenacious as he was, his determination was appreciable, almost awardable. For any other person, they would've given up long ago, but despite all odds and her harsh coldness towards him, he didn't give up. Even Shu had tried to drift him off of the thought of getting her to join them, when they had no preferences in common at all, but was unsuccessful in the end.
Finally, she had to leave the school premises whilst he was talking to her with great interest such that his eyes were closed, slipping away from the classroom and leaving him to speak his mind with the air around him, his words dissipating into the atmosphere. At some point, she felt bad for what she did, the remorse clawing behind her. She didn't intend to do it, but had no other option. Not having the experience to deal with someone so resolute, it was the only option available to her to pry him off. But that momentary feeling was just as short as a flame of fire ignited from a lighter, it vaporized and left her soul just as it came to her, relieving her, lightening a small fraction of the huge burden she always carried. She had way more other important things to worry about, and such insignificant matters didn't brush her mind at all.
