Y/N's POV

"So tell me, my dear, have you decided?" The calm voice of Helena said. I sighed nervously, rubbing my hands together and playing with my fingers anxiously.

"Yes, I have decided that I will be leaving." I state firmly as sweat starts to run down my forehead. Helena nods, comprehending my decision while she took a sip of her warm tea.

"Very well, I will give you some clothing and first med aid just in case, then you can go and find her." I smile happily and thank her, she dismisses it, standing up and gathering the items. I meanwhile just sit there, my cup of tea warming my hands, I slowly take a sip, calming my nerves. I started thinking about their reactions, the daughters would be happy, or at least I hope, but Alcina...Why do I feel like she will be mad? I mean she has the right to be mad at me...

My thoughts are interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching me, I gaze up to be met with the warm and caring smile of Helena. She sits down on the chair in front of me, and gives me a snuggly, warm coat, along with the backpack but this time heavier. I snuggle into the coat, then I put it on, grabbing the backpack as well. Helena smiles at me.

"Well, are you ready to go get your woman?" My face flushes and millions of butterflies fly in my stomach. I nod confidently and open the front door.

"Thank you all so much for receiving me here, I will never forget any of you, farewell." They all replied with a wave and wished me luck. I gulped, going out and closing the door behind me. Now I was met with the cold air surrounding me. I hurriedly run towards the direction of the castle, I ignored everything I saw while running, I didn't care that there were monsters like the lycans watching me, all I wanted was to find her, Alcina. The corners of my lips curl up when I see the castle's front doors, I ran even faster, only stopping when I was close enough. I was about to grab the handle, but a cold hand grabbed my wrist, making me turn to the direction of where it came from.

"I think I gave you enough time to prepare for my experiments, right?" I grit my teeth at the voice, recognizing it as Miranda.

"Let me go, I am definitely not going with you." She grasps my wrist even tighter, almost cutting my blood circulation off.

"You are coming with me and that's final." Miranda begins to pull me away, but I keep resisting.

"Miranda, please, let me go."

She didn't even bother to look at me.

I tried not to get anxious.

"Please Miranda, I beg you, I really want to see her." I pleaded, desperation showing.

But then again, no response.

"Miranda, you had a family before this, right? So please! I am begging you, I love her, you loved someone else as well when you were still human, so understand, please!" Tears shot into my eyes, running down my cheeks. My eyes widen when she comes to a sudden stop, she turns around and takes her mask off, revealing her hesitant yet sad features.

"Go then, I will spare you this time." I wipe my tears away and stutter a thank you. I ran back to the doors and slammed then open, expected to be greeted with the daughters, but the air and ambience were...cold, colder than usual. At first I thought this was a prank, so I called out for them.

"Bela, Cassandra, Daniela!" I yelled, but there was no buzzing. I frowned, did something happen?

"I kept my promise, I came back." I said this time more softly, but there was still no response. I suddenly heard an awfully paining scream echo through the entire castle, it really sounded like Alcina so I followed the grunts. Seeing that the forbidden door was opened with all the masks in their places, it created a lump in my throat. I sprinted out of the doors to the Tower of Worship, where I saw something gigantic fall down, but it was accompanied by a male figure? I quickly looked down the hole carefully, If I jumped down, I would most likely die...

I needed to think quick, so I checked the backpack, and to my surprise a rope was put on there. I attached the rope to a nearby statue, and let myself slide down slowly but surely. When I got down there, I turned around and was met with the horrifying sight of Alcina bleeding out and at the same time transforming back. Beside her there was a man, who held a gun pointed at me, but lowered it when he saw that it wasn't a monster. The tears ran down my face again, and I sprinted towards Alcina's lying figure. I kneeled down, holding her between my arms. Her eyes let out even more tears when she saw me. Alcina squeezed my hand as she breathed heavily.

"Y/N..." I caressed her pale cheek.

"Alcina, you can't leave me." I managed to choke out, staining her already bloody dress with my tears. She smiled tiredly at me, and caressed my cheek with her gloved hand.

"I am so sorry for being so selfish." Alcina looked away, her ruined mascara colouring her skin. I grunted, not believing her stupidity.

"You are not selfish, you didn't have an option." She stared at me surprised, then laughed but was cut off by blood coming out of her mouth. I quickly wipe it away, and brush some hair out of her gorgeous face.

"Listen Y/N, remember the kiss? Well, It really meant everything to me, I don't know how I have fallen for you, but I have, I love you and I admit it, even if you don't return those feelin-" I cut her off by leaning in and placing a grieving kiss on her crimson lips, the salty taste of our tears and metallic taste of the blood didn't stop the moment, she still tasted sweet. She puts her hand on my cheek just like I did when we first kissed, the only difference being that the first time was calm, while this one was with sorrow. We pull away for air after a while, and I look down with teary eyes just to see her smiling sweetly at me.

"I love you too, Alcina, promise me we'll meet again." I stated firmly. She nodded as the dark flowers near her heart started to lose their petals and fall down, one by one.

"I am sorry for not telling you my feelings earlier, I hate seeing you pained, I am sorry, but I promise I will always be there for you no matter what, I love you, forever and ever." This time, she was the one who leaned in, giving me one last kiss before pulling away, staring at my teary eyes with hers.

"Farewell, Y/N."
