2: Got It Again

Capo POV

"No, stop." I said as I pushed Yvette off me. It was 2 o'clock in the morning and she is ever so drunk.

"Baaaby." She slurred as I carried her upstairs.

"Yeah."

"Put me down."

"Nope. You still ain't revived from the first ankle." I said with a slight chuckle. That was funny.

She got down and fell straight to the floor before crawling to the toilet. Lord. I went downstairs and got a coke along with a in ibuprofen for her. Shouldn't this be the other way around?

I sat and watched the episode of Empire that I missed while she did her. In starting to rethink this.

Daijah POV

"Andre tell her then."

"But what if she don't like me back?" He asked. He has a thing for Ceasia and won't tell her.

"Boy this is not first grade. Grow up."

"Ight whatever. Ma told me to tell you to swoop by when you can. She said come alone." He said putting quotations around come alone.

"Ight." I agreed.

"What's up with them peoples though?" He asked referring to the male and female that just left.

"Personal things."

"I'm your brother. Come on Day."

"No." I said and he sucked his teeth.

"Ight. Well I'm out."

"Bye." said hugging him then letting him out. I enjoyed the silence, but then I thought, it's too quiet.

"Lyric." I said as I walked in her room and she was spread across her bed, sleep. Thank you. I took this time for me to clean up a little bit. I was in the middle of mopping when my phone started to ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey, open the door." He said and I kind of smiled. What the hell are you smiling for?

"I need advice." He said about to walk in the kitchen.

"Quick advice to keep your life. Don't step in this kitchen." He stopped and chuckled before he started to speak.

"So, I don't want to do this."

"Do what?"

"Me and ole girl. She changed and it ain't for the good."

"Tell her then."

"Like its that easy. I at least want to talk about helping her."

"Does she want help?"

"I don't know." He shrugged and I sat next to him.

"Well ask and see if you can help her. If you can't then drop her."

"Ight. Thanks."

"I have a question though."

"Shoot."

"Why didn't you do this with me?"

"I was stupid. I would try to fix it, but you want nothing to do with me." He said as he got up.

"I didn't say th-"

"Daddy!" I got cut off by Lyric coming in and jumping into his arms.

"Baby you just saw me."

"I know but I love you."

"Love you too baby. Lemme talk to your momma babygirl."

"Okay." She said as she got down.

"Now what were you saying?"

"I didn't say I didn't want anything to do with you. If that was the case then you wouldn't be standing in my house right now."

"Okay Daijah." He smirked and walked towards the door.

"See you Monday."

"Ight." He said before kissing my forehead and leaving.This man stays in trouble.

I walked upstairs and Lyric was gettingbher bath ready.

"You growing up so fast babygirl."

"I wanna be just like you when I grow up." She said and that kind of made me want to cry.

"Well you gotta stay in school and make good grades so you can." I said kissing her cheeks.

"Okay mommy." She said and I left her to bathe.

There was a knock on the door and I saw Capo again.

"I left my phone." He smiled.

"Really?" I playfully rolled my eyes.

"No." He said before he crashed his lips into mine. "He's married but I don't give a damn, he's mine." I thought in my head as I kissed him back.
