Enough

Chapter 3

Ashton's POV

The next class was art. I love art, although I'm not good at drawing but I enjoy creating different things.

I walked in without being late, yay, and looked around. It was beautiful. There where original paintings like Starry Night everywhere and on shelves there were decorated pottery and many other things. 'I'm going to enjoy this' I thought smiling to myself.

I looked around and saw who I was hoping for. I walked over to her and said "Hey I'm Ashton, what's your name?"

I held out my hand. She looked up. I looked deep into her ocean blue eyes and saw something weird. It was like a big darkness that's being covered up by the ocean blue.

She just stared at me emotionless for a minute before she said "Jade Dixon."

I put my hand down and smiled.

"Oh wow that's a really pretty name."

I sat down next to her and she looked at me suspiciously.

I saw her eyes advert to look behind me. I turned around and saw Jack and the other three behind him.

He smirked down at us. "Well would you look at this, we have emo bitch and emo fag together." He laughed and the other three joined shortly after.

I looked at Jade, she had her head down so that her bangs were covering her eyes.

Jack walked over to her and grabbed her chin forcing her to look at him. He chuckled and said "Aw is some one depressed?"

Jade's POV*

"Aw is someone depressed?" He asked.

I stayed silent and avoided his eyes.

"Answer me you bitch!" He yelled which made me jump.

"No I'm not" I said as calming as I could. Inside I was wishing to die and disappear in the deep black abyss of the world.

He slapped me in front of everyone. "Oh really. It looks otherwise." He laughed letting go of my chin.

In the corner of my eye I saw Ashton get up and walk over tithe laughing Jack. Jack stopped laughing.

"Did you come here to get slapped to?"

Ashton smiled and glanced at me. He looked back at Jack and punched him in the face before he could block it. Jack fell to the floor and the other three stayed there in shock before they ran up to Ashton, fists raised. He dodged all of them swiftly and landed a blow on Drake. Before he went after the other two, Jack got up and grabbed Ashton's neck with his arm from behind.

"You asshole, you're gonna pay for that." He growled.

Jack started to pull his arm tighter, suffocating Ashton. 'I've had enough of this' I got up and ran to the principal's office.
When I got there I told him what was happening and he got up and walked with back to the classroom.

He walked through the door and yelled "What is going on here!?"

Jack stopped strangling Ashton and Ashton fell to the floor coughing. Jack looked at the principal terrified. The principal walked up to Jack. "My office, now!"

The principal walked away and Jack shortly followed. He stopped when he was next to me and said "you'll pay for this emo bitch."

He left the classroom and the other three went after him like lost puppies.

I walked over to Ashton as he got up. "U-um a-are you o-ok?" I stuttered.

He looked at me with his bright green eyes. "Yeah, what about you? Do you need ice or something?" He asked looking concerned.

I looked away. 'Why is my heart beating so fast?' I mentally asked. "...I'm...fine, thanks for asking." I looked back at him making my heart beating faster.

Ashton's POV

I smiled. 'I'm really happy that she's ok. She's really cute to' as I thought that my heart beat faster.

We sat back down after my heart calmed down and continued class.

Time Skip(lunch time) still Ashton's POV

After I got my food, I looked around for Jade. I looked around for a few minutes and saw her in the corner eating alone. 'Does she not have any friends?' I walked up to her and she looked up at me confused.

"Hey" I said sitting across from her.

She stayed quiet for a while as if she was thinking if she could trust me. She reminded me of a cat who just got adopted wondering if it could trust its new owner. It was kinda cute.

"Hi" she finally said.

She went back to staring at her food silently. We were eating in an uncomfortable silence when I couldn't take it anymore.

"So, do you like art? Back at the classroom you were drawing something really cool."

She looked up and met my eyes. "Ya, I g-guess I do."

I smiled at her. "So um, what were you drawing?"

She turned pale. I looked at her confused. She looked at her food which was barely touched. A minute later she looked up to me. "I-I was um, drawing a s-sugar skull." she stuttered.

"Oh really, that's so cool! Could you draw me one sometime?" I beamed.

She looked at me shocked with her eyes wide. I looked at her eyes seriously. "Sure" she said hesitantly. She got up and dumping her tray untouched.

The bell rang saying that lunch was over. I got up and went to my next class.

Time Skip(after school)

Jade's POV

I was walking home thinking about Ashton. There were so many questions going through my head, 'Why did he talk to me? Why did he help me? Why does he want me to draw a sugar skull for him?' Those questions kept running through my head and I didn't notice that I was lost. I looked around looking for anything that I would recognize. I failed so I pulled my iPhone out and opened the GPS app. I typed in my address and it told me that it was an invalid address. I checked it and it was right. I was really confused now. I tried walking back the way I came from but ended up getting more lost. I looked around once more and saw something move in the corner of my eye. I quickly looked in that direction but saw nothing. I continued walking until I saw a house that caught my eye. I walked up the stairs and knocked on the dark wood door softly three times. I heard foot steps walk to the door. It opened and Ashton stepped out. He looked at me curiously.

"Um, sorry but I got lost, can I have the directions to the school?" I asked embarrassed.

"Oh...if it's ok...I'll walk you there."

My heart picked up its pace and I'm pretty sure that I'm blushing. "U-um thanks."

"You should come in for a second and warm up. It's pretty cold out. I'll get you something to eat and drink." He offered.

"Oh um, no thanks I'm good." I looked at my shoes.

"Come in" he ordered.

I walked in and he closed the door after me.
