Chapter 18 How I Became A Horcrux

Sarina's PoV

I've been back for a week now and well...everyone says that everything will go back to normal soon but that's the thing, it isn't.

Everyone keeps staring at me.

The teachers came up with an excuse on why I wasn't here to keep people from asking questions but it isn't enough.

When the other students think I can't hear them they start whispering behind my back.

But they're all wrong. I can definitely hear them.

The burn on my arm is actually hard to hide.

It was pretty bad so Dumbledore said I will have to see Madam Pomfrey frequently throughout the next 2 weeks if I want it to not leave a permanent and noticeable scar.

One other thing that kind of...no, REALLY bugging is that Sirius refuses to leave me alone.

He even almost followed me into the bathrooms.

I mean I love him and all, but I really need some space.

He literally escorts me to and from classes.

He's smothering me even more then he used to.

Right now he is actually escorting me, along with Remus, to Madam Pomfrey so that she can do her usual healing.

We walk through the big doors and are greeted by Madam Pomfrey.

"Hello dear. I'll be with you in a few minutes, just sit yourself over there" she says as she points to a bed.

I walk over and sit on the bed as Remus and Sirius sit on the bed across from me.

I slowly pull up the sleeve of my shirt that covers the burn on my left arm.

The redness had faded a little but it still had scarring on it.

I glance up at Sirius and he has an angry look in his eyes and one I've only seen him make when Walburga did the crutiatous curse on me.

"Alright, let's have a look at that nasty scar" Madam Pomfrey said coming over with a bowl of crushed up herbs.

She starts putting the ointment on my burn and I don't feel any pain when she puts it on.

"It's a good thing you got these for me for Christmas. They've become very useful" Madam Pomfrey says as she smiles at me.

I smile back at her.

She finished putting the ointment onto my arm and even more of the redness goes away.

"Hmm, it should take away the burn but it seems that the spell he used to burn you was a strong one" Madam Pomfrey says looking over the burn.

"It's fine. You're doing the best you can and that's all that matters" I tell her kindly.

Suddenly the doors open and Professor Dumbledore walks into the room.

"Hello Professor Dumbledore. Here to see Sarina?" Madam Pomfrey asks.

"Yes I am" he answers.

Madam Pomfrey leaves and Professor Dumbledore walks over to me.

"Due to the recent events I think it's time I told you why you were kidnapped" Dumbledore says.

"I'd really like that" I say honestly.

"And Mr. Black May join you because he has the right to know as much as you do" Professor Dumbledore says looking at Sirius.

Sirius nods and Professor Dumbledore turns back to me.
