It's been 16 Years since number Five left his family and its been 13 Years since number six died on a Mission. Since then; Valerie became a bit more silent and uncomfortable around others. Of course she still talked to her best friends, but the disappearance of her boyfriend and the death of her 'brother' had a big affect on her.
She could still talk to her deceased 'brother' of course, and she does so pretty often. He tells her how her best friend is doing and how he won't stop doing drugs. She'd chuckle while looking down and shaking her head at Klaus.
A lot of different things happened in the meantime. At the age of 17, Valerie moved out of the Academy and got her own apartment. She still kept visiting Grace and, of course, Pogo. Even if you couldn't really see it, Pogo and her have a pretty big bond. Every time she'd be reading alone in her room, he'd check on her and this would lead to beautiful, long conversation between the two.
She got a job at the local library, as she liked books and the silence that was in the big halls as she worked. She could have been living from the money of her father as Pogo offered it to her, saying that it was hard to get a job these days. She declined it and looked for a job, eventually getting one after only a few weeks. Pogo still gave her the money, so she had something to live from in the time she didn't have the job.
She was still in contact with Diego, Klaus and Vanya. She visits Diego every time she came across from the place where he lived and brought coffee or their favorite chinese food with her. When they ate or drank the things she brought, they'd tell each other things to catch up on each other.
As soon as she sees her best friend Ben as a ghost, standing in front of her, she knows that Klaus did something stupid again. Without questions, she asks Ben where Klaus is and they both go into her car and drive to the location he would be at. He whines about not wanting to leave yet but then he ends up in her car and they drive to her house so he can sober up on her couch.
Every time Vanya played in an Orchestra, Valerie would come there and sit in the front, so her best friend could see her. See how she was supporting her. They'd smile at each other and after the show, they'd go out and eat dinner somewhere while telling each other funny stories or they tell each other how their life has been in the time they didn't see each other. Even if it's been only a week or something since they saw each other.
Valerie didn't really stay in contact with Number one or three. Since Allison was busy with filming her movies and taking care of her family. Valerie watched every movie she played in, though. And she loved everyone of them. She also met Claire and still visits her every now and then. Every time Allison was on a premiere of one of her movies, Valerie would look after Claire.
Luther was stuck on the Moon and Valerie was actually quite happy about that. She's a sweet and caring woman, but when it comes to the one person who hated her ever since the day they met, she doesn't give a shit.
