I was sitting at the island in the massive kitchen, looking out over the ocean with a cup of steaming coffee in front of me. The smell of french vanilla and the sea air overwelmed the house. I could stay here forever.
"Ainslee, are you gonna get ready anytime soon?" Wynn yelled down the back stairs that lead to the kitchen from the upstairs hallway. "It doesnt take me as long as you, remember?!" I yelled back. "Yeah, I know, your not normal, got it!" I chuckled, "You have no idea." I said more to myself than anyone else. "Did you say something?"
"Yeah, I said hurry your girly ass up!" She scoffed at me, "As if!" I sat for a few more minutes, taking in the fresh air, then pushed the stool I was sitting on away from the island so I could go get ready. Wynn and Pierce had set a dress code for me that I wasnt allowed to break. Joy.
20 minutes later, I emerged from my room wearing a short and low cut black dress that clung to my body like a second skin, with teal blue stiletto's acompanying my outfit. A silver necklace with a clear crystal on the end hung around my neck, as well as, the round, silver, studs that adorned my ears.
I walked down the stair case while the few Alex and Ani bangles I had hanging from my wrist gingled and my heals clicked against the wood of the stairs, Pierce and Wynn still getting ready for the long night of partying ahead of us. My naturally red, long, curly hair was left down as the curls bounced with every step I took. My eye shadown, liner, and maskara were all dark shades of black or gray, making my green eyes stand out more then they normally would, while I kept my lips to a soft, glossy, pale pink.
I walked out onto the screened-in porch that took up half of the back deck, the ceiling fan humming softly as it rotated, moving the warm spring air. I inhaled deeply, the salty air soothing my nerves; clubs really arent my thing. About 30 minutes later, I could hear Wynn's foot steps coming down the stairs in the back ground the crashing of waves.
Then, the door bell rang.
