"Well hello there hotty! Are you lost?" Wynn said in her flirtatious voice. "No, im looking for the owner of the house, are they here?"
I would know that voice anywhere. Kallen Stone.
"Um, yeah, one sec. Ainslee, some guy is here and wants to talk to you!" I shot out of my chair before she had called me over. I quickly made my way to the front enterence. "Thanks Wynn, I got it from here." She nodded and walked away with a confused look plastered across her face.
I watched to make sure Wynn was out of hearing range, then I turned around and pushed Kallen onto the front porch. "What do you want?!" I snapped. "I came here looking for you. Using your real name again I see. I always liked your name, it's like a glass of cool ice tea on a hot summers day." I rolled my eyes, "You didnt answer my question Kallen. Why are you here?"
"Make that a hard shot of whiskey." He scoffed under his breath with a smirk.
He sauntered over to sit in one of the many rocking chairs that adorned the front porch, wrapping around to the back of the house. "Maybe I just missed you, did you ever think about that?" I scoffed, "You're incapable of thinking about anyone but yourself."
He put his hand to his chest as if my statement had offended him. "Thats hurtful sweetheart." I moved so I was standing directly infront of him, "Dont call me that." A sly grin spread across his features, "You used to like when I called you sweetheart."
"Well now im not as stupid and nieve as I was before, thanks to you." He stood, "You're welcome." He smirked, his fingers trailing softly down my cheek. I didnt back down, not this time. "Why are you here."
His hand dropped to his side, "You never did like secrets and suprises, did you?" I kept my voice level and bitter, "No. Never have, never will." Just then Cerberus, my jet black Great Dane came bounding around the corner, jumping up onto my shoulders.
"Cerberus!" He licked my face as I hugged my massive beast of a dog. I had been sitting on the floor of the front pourch for about 10 minutes now, Cerberus spralled across my lap as I rubbed his belly. I looked up to see Kallen leaning against the railing, "He missed you. And I couldnt bare to keep you apart any longer."
"Thank you Kallen, I mean it, thank you." He nodded, his face falling. I stood and walked over to him, "Whats wrong?"
"Ainslee, they..."
"They what Kallen?!"
"They took Finn. And their coming for Nara next if I dont bring you too them at Aviation tonight. Im sorry, I didnt know they would go after your family."
My heart pounded in my chest, as my breathing became labored and painful. Kallen caught me as I began to fall to the ground, my legs unable to hold me any longer. "Ainslee, you need to breathe, please." He lowwered me into on of the chairs, concern plastered across his features.
"We have to go. We have to go now. I have to get Finn." He held me to the chair as I tried to stand. "Just hold on. We will get him back, I promise. We have to think this through. We cant just barge into the club and demand they give your brother back."
I started to cry as Kallen pulled me to his chest. "They wont hurt him, he's only a baby."
"This is all my fault. If I had just chosen when I was supposed to none of this would be happening right now." He looked into my eyes. "Ainslee this isnt your fault. Their crazy. He wants them to scare you into choosing the dark, thats why he had them take Finn. They wont hurt him as long as you come tonight."
"Then lets not disapoint them."
