Chapter 15

Chapter 15 : Forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met.

"Alec."I gasp. 

He smiles. 

"It took me forever to find you."He sighs before coming to kiss me. 

I pull away. 

"What?"He asks. 

"You can't just come here and expect me to kiss you like nothing ever happened!"I say. 

He sighs. 

"Angel, I'm sorry, alright?"He tells me. 

I run a hand through my hair. 

"Okay, I forgive you."I say. 

"Good. Now, get your stuff. We're going back to Volterra this instant."He tells me. 

"Whoa! I'm not going back with you."I say. 

He gives me a slightly mad look.

"But we forgave each other."He says. 

"Yeah but that doesn't mean I want to go back with you."I say. 

He growls at me. 

"You are coming back with me!"He grips my upper arms. 

"Alec, you're hurting me!"I yell. 

I rip myself from his grasp. 

"Leave! Now!"I yell. 

He growls once more before he walks out of my room, leaving the hotel. I sink to my knees, starting to cry. 

I roll up my sleeves to see bruises starting to form from where he gripped me. 

My love just hurt me. I don't believe it. I start to scream, having no other way to speak. 

Augustus comes running into my room. 

"Angel! Angel, are you hurt?!"He asks worriedly. 

I nod before he pulls me into him, letting me cry into his chest. 

"Shh, it's alright. Everything will be fine."He whispers to me. 

He carries me to his room, before going and getting the rest of my things.

"You'll stay with me."He tells me. 

I have no objections, wanting to be close to someone for once instead of shutting them out. I nod before I drift to sleep.

I wake up and smell food. I sit up and see Augustus has gone to McDonalds for us. I laugh slightly. 

"What's so funny?"He asks. 

"Nothing really. It's just, I haven't had McDonalds in forever."I tell him before we start to eat our breakfasts. 

He smiles once we're done. 

"What?"I ask. 

"Nothing. You're just really cute right after you wake up."He tells me. 

I roll my eyes. 

"Shut up!"I push him playfully. 

"It's true."He says, kissing my forehead. 

I sigh as I think of Alec once again. I don't think forgetting him is an option. 

Because let's face it, forgetting him was like trying to know somebody you never met. And that's tough.

I get up and go to the bathroom, taking a shower. 

I get out, side braid my wet hair, and change into a Paramore tee, some jeans, and my lace-up boots. 

I leave the bathroom and see Augustus isn't in the room. 

"Augustus?"I call out. 

I go to the fridge and see a note.

Angel,

Had to go get something from the store. Be back as soon as possible.

Love you,

Augustus.

I roll my eyes.

"That boy..."I trail off. 

He wrote that he loves me. I sigh. I can't hurt him. But I can't be on my own either. 

I start to pace, thinking of what to do. I lay on the bed, trying to think but quickly falling asleep.

I stand in Augustus's room. I look around. 

"Gus?"I use my nickname for him. 

"Augustus?"I use his full name. 

I turn and see Augustus. 

Dead. 

I look at the murderer who is covered by shadows. His red eyes stand out, blowing his cover. 

"Alec. You killed him.... You monster!"I yell at him. 

I start to cry as I look at Augustus' lifeless eyes.

"You should've come with me! You did this!"Alec growls.

I start to scream. 

"Augustus!"I scream over and over again.

"Angel, wake up!"Augustus shakes me. 

I open my eyes. 

"Oh, Augustus!"I fall into him as I cry. 

"Shh, it's alright."He rubs my back soothingly. 

"I'm here, I'm here."He keeps cooing to me. 

"Don't leave me."I cry. 

"I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying right here."He tells me.

I soon fall back asleep. This time, I have no nightmares as I clutch onto him. 

Once I wake up, I see Augustus is still asleep beside me. I kiss his forehead before getting up and going to the bathroom. 

I shower and do my hair before changing. I leave the bathroom, seeing Augustus awake but still lying in bed. 

"Hey."He gives me that adorable half smile. 

"Hey."I tell him. 

"How about today being just a lazy day?"He suggests. 

I smile. 

"I'd love that."I grab my bag and go back to the bathroom. 

I change into a pair of yoga pants and an oversized tee. 

I curl up in bed before we turn on the TV, switching to the VMA's or something like that. 

After the award show is over, we switch the TV to a movie. The movie is SAW ll. 

After it ends, we switch it to an MTV show. I soon fall asleep.

I wake up and hear something. I slowly get up, trying not to wake Augustus. 

I go to the door and open it, only to be hit on the head. I black out.
