Idia x Reader (Romantic)

It was a rather calm day in the Ramshackle dorm. Grimm was asleep and the ghosts were off doing whatever ghosts were doing. And you were currently sitting on your couch upside down, bored. As surprising as that was, considering that you were literally in a world full of magic and other insane things. You sighed, glaring at the couch across the coffee table as you tried to think of a way to entertain yourself and were unable to. It was during times like this that you wished you were back in your world, at least you'd be able to have something in your home to keep the boredom away. Like your book collection or perhaps something simpler that didn't require you to move much, like watching a movie or perhaps like anime. But alas you didn't know anyplace that had that kind of thing.

As you started to pout your phone chimed letting you know that you'd received a text message. Pulling your phone out you sat yourself upright and pulled up the messaging app. You couldn't help but smile a bit when you saw that it was your friend Idia who had texted you. He'd sent you a meme much to your amusement. Leave it to your nerdy awkward friend to send you things like this. As you responded back with a meme of your own you were suddenly hit with a big brain moment.

Idia Shroud was a fellow Otaku.

He had anime in his room.

You could finally get some anime goodness.

You about sprung up from the couch causing yourself to get a little dizzy from the fast movement. You couldn't help but feel a bit dumb at not realizing this sooner as you shot Idia another text asking him if you could come over to his room to hang out. It didn't take him long to respond giving you the okay to make your way over. Grabbing your charger and leaving a note for Grimm you quickly made your way out of your dorm, ecstatic to be finally doing something. Not to mention spending time with Idia. Shutting the door behind you, you made your way to the school grounds. As you walked you began to think of the shy man. Idia was rather awkward and introverted, more so than most people. A genius when it came to technology, Idia Shroud was a strange enigma to say the least. However he also had a certain charm to him that had attracted you to wanting to speak to him. As you got to know him more you began to notice things about him and see sides of him no one else saw. Like how he was really kind despite how aloof he seemed. Or how he was actually a huge nerd who loved anime and manga and video games. Or how much he adored and spoiled his beloved little brother.

You'd also noticed things you probably shouldn't have noticed. Like how his eyes were golden like liquid amber, or how his handsome his face was when he smiled his crooked smile, or how well built he actually was under his hoodie. Yeah you had developed a bit of a crush on him to say the least. You blushed brightly not wanting to think about it seeing as how you were nearly to the Hall of Mirrors. The last thing you needed was for Idia to notice your bright cheeks. Heading into the mirror that lead to Ignihyde, you stepped through it. You landed at the entrance of the dorm, it's tech filled hallways greeting you as you made your way towards Idia's room. Seeing the familiar door you nearly skipped your way towards it and with an almost chipper way you knocked. A robotic chipper shout of "coming!" could be heard before the door swung open to reveal Ortho.

"Ah! Welcome (Y/N)! Big brother is inside!"

The boy chirped happily as he let you inside. You smiled at the adorable child and stepped inside. Idia was in his computer chair, having finished a level in his game and saving it when he spotted you.

"O-oh hey (Y/N). I'm glad you could come over."

He said stuttering a bit in the beginning. You couldn't help but smile, secretly swooning over how cute he sounded.

"Hey Idia, I'm glad I could come by. Thanks for letting me come over to hang out!"

You chirped. Idia's cheeks went a bit red and he quickly averted his gaze.

"So uh what do you wanna do?"

He asked, turning his gaming console off and putting up his headset. You shimmied on your feet for a brief moment thinking.

"Well I was wondering if you wanted to watch some anime with me...? If not then it's fine. We can do something else if you'd like."

You said not wanting him to feel pressured into doing it. Idia's eyes seemed to sparkle.

"Of course I don't mind. You can pick a series while me and Ortho get the DVD player ready."

Idia said gesturing to his little brother to come help him which he gladly did. You on the other hand went to look at Idia's massive collection of anime. There was so many titles and genres, many of which you'd never heard of. As you continued to look getting a bit hesitant to choose one seeing as you didn't know these titles a DVD caught your eye. Curious you pulled it from the shelf and took a look at it flipping it over to reveal its cover. You about dropped it. No way, no freaking way. You couldn't believe what you were looking at. The DVD had two familiar men on the cover, one with wild blue hair and blue eyes and the other with brown hair and turquoise blue eyes. Both doing poses that seemed ridiculous but were actually quite cool looking. You felt so giddy that this anime existed in this world just like in yours.

"Holy-! Idia you watch Jojo?!?"

You gasped whirling around to look at him, eyes sparkling with excitement. Idia jumped from your excited tone before giving you a wide eyed look.

"Y-you know Jojo???"

He asked baffled. You beamed nodding excitedly.

"Heck yeah I do! I used to watch it back home!"

You said giddy. Idia smiled at you, obviously thrilled that you knew something that he knew for once. Ortho watched the two of you in an amused and happy way. He was glad that you and his big brother could bound over this.

"Well let's put it in big brother!"

Ortho said already reaching for the DVD case which you happily gave to him. Ortho took it before handing it to Idia to put it into the player. Once set up the three of you settled down with a pile of blankets and pillows and pressed play.

It was halfway through the first part, the two characters Erina and Jonathan having reunited with one another in the hospital room where she was treating his wounds. You and Idia were sitting close together, having somewhat gravitated towards one another. Ortho had fallen asleep in a small pile of blankets, his soft huffs of breath giving him away. The two of you sat quietly as you watched the lovers talk. You sighed a bit wistfully, feeling a bit envious of Erina. Idia gave you a small questioning look.

"Erina is lucky, she's got Jonathan again and it's honestly quite sweet how they interact. Kinda makes me wish I had that."

You answered his unspoken question, tuning back into the show. Idia moved a bit beside you.

"Well I could be your Jonathan if you were my Erina...."

Idia mumbled, voice nearly drowned out by the TV however you'd caught it. You choked a bit on your spit and gave him a wide eyed look, your heart beating incredibly fast. Idia stiffened, looking like a deer in headlights as he realized you had heard. The anime was long forgotten as the two of you stared at one another, waiting for the other to break the ice. You swallowed lightly before deciding to do something about the silence.

"I wouldn't mind being your Erina.....in fact I'd love to."

You mumbled back shyly in a confession. Idia stared at you, processing what you'd said. His cheeks slowly started to turn red and then his hair began to flame up slightly in red flames instead of his usual blue. He couldn't believe that you had been feeling the same way he did. The shy man looked at you, seeing your own cheeks were painted red too, your eyes averted from him. Idia felt his heart give a small squeeze at how cute you were being and with a mental push he made a decision. He leaned forward his lips pecking your cheek shyly. You stiffened eyes flickering right back to him, your whole face going red now.

"(Y/N)....I like you a lot."

Idia said softly. You felt your heart melt at his small yet sweet confession.

"I like you a lot too Idia."

You said just as softly, cheeks rosy. The two of you spent the rest of your hangout  cuddling and holding hands shyly as you watched your show.
