July 8, 2020.

Harry and I had to wait for 6 months to hear back from immigration services.

I had to go back to London so that our petition could be reviewed. Harry and I gathered all the evidence needed to show that our marriage was not a product of an immigration scam. I was nervous for our meeting.

" I've reviewed your file Mr. and Mrs. Styles," Janice, the immigration worker, told us. " I'm not questioning the validity of your marriage and of your love, but there is nothing I can do. I'm really sorry."

" Our lawyer said that the marriage would allow Harry to come back to the US," I explained.

"I'm sorry, but the marriage and the visa violation are two different things. In order for me to do my job and approve your request, the ban placed on Harry has to be lifted," Janice explained.

"I just don't understand how this is happening. We talked to lots of people and they said that the marriage would solve everything. Whoever were talking to it always seems like its a different person," Harry interjected.

" There is nothing that I could do. Your case is on hold indefinitely," Janice said before asking us to leave her office.

The ride to Harry's apartment was quiet. Once we go to the apartment, we sat on the couch and cuddled. It seemed like we didn't want to face the truth of our doomed relationship. That's what it felt like... DOOMED. No matter how hard we tried to make it work, it seemed like the world was against us.

I didn't want to think about it anymore so I got up and headed to the kitchen. I thought cooking would be the best thing to keep my mind busy. I only had a few more days left in London before having to head back home.

Harry came behind me and wrapped his arms around me.

"We'll make things," he said as he kissed my neck.

" I know," I replied. Harry sat down at the small table. As I was stirring the sauce for the spaghetti, I felt my phone vibrate. I took out my phone and it was a message from Ryan. He constantly bombarded me with messages. It was harder to ignore him now that we had to work on a research project together.

I placed my phone down on the table and headed to the bathroom to just put some water on my face.

Breathe Ella. Breathe. Everything will be alright. Harry is right things will work out. Just breathe and relax. I felt like I was going to go into a panic attack. I finally calmed down. Just pretend like everything is okay. Ella, just enjoy the time you have with Harry.

" Are you still talking to him?" Harry asked when I came back from the bathroom. I noticed he was eyeing my phone that was not too far away from him.

" We work together. You know that. I can't ignore him that would be unprofessional," I replied. " Did you look through my phone?"

" I wasn't trying to. You left your messages out in the open," he responded trying to defend his actions.

" There's nothing going on with me and Ryan," I replied. " Just let it go."

" How am I supposed to let it go?" He asked. His voice was getting louder. " While you're here with me, you're also texting him."

" I haven't said anything to him that's inappropriate. I'm here with you and that's all that matters. That's all that should matter," I replied.

" Let me go through your messages then," Harry replied as he extended his hand wanting me to hand him my phone.

" It will just make things worse," I replied. " Why don't you let me see your phone?"

" We were talking about you and Ryan," he responded.

" What? There's no me and Ryan. Not since we got married. My phone messages with him are simply him trying to get me back. I just didn't want you to see the messages from when we did go out. Have you been texting Talia or something?" I asked.

He stood silent.

" What's the matter? Now you're speechless. What did you do? Did you sleep with her?" I asked raising my voice.

" I'm not going to answer that," Harry responded.

"It's a simple yes or no! Did you sleep with Talia?" I was so angry. He had been making me feel bad for just talking to Ryan.

" Stop yelling at me!" Harry yelled.

" I'm going to yell if I want to. I can't believe you cheated on me. What? Did you sleep with her right after I left when we got MARRIED???," I responded screaming louder.

" We're in my house! If I say no yelling..." he responded. We had never gotten in to a fight like this.

" I wish wasn't!" I managed to yell before I started crying. I ran into the room and locked the door. I sat by the door crying.

" I'm sorry," Harry said as he tried to open the door. I didn't want to open it for him. I thought about this moment and how unhappy I was. It's okay Ella. Breathe. Everything will be okay. Things don't always work out. Breathe. I knew what I was supposed to do.

" I just don't see this working out. Not like this, Harry," I replied as I tried to stop crying. " I don't want to keep doing this. I'm not happy anymore. I want to be with you, but our relationship will never be like it used to."

You said it Ella. Breathe in, breathe out. It's okay. Everything will be okay.
