"You don't know how much I love you, Elsa,"

Umbridge was making new rules every single day.

A "High Inquisitor's Group" had been formed — and naturally, all the Slytherins were in it.

Her newest decree was that no boy and girl should be within 'seven inches' of each other.

"You should be happy, I'm ten inches away," Harry whispered teasingly in my ear.

I gasped and smacked him lightly on the shoulder, trying not to smile.

Of course, her ridiculous rules didn't stop us from finding ways to be close.

It had been a few days since I'd last seen Harry alone, and I was heading to the DA meeting when Noah stepped into my path.

We had talked a bit recently, though I still wasn't sure how I felt about him.

"Hi, El," Noah greeted smoothly.

"Hi, Noah," I replied, shifting my bag nervously.

Being one of the Sacred Twenty-Eight, Noah was naturally part of the Inquisitor group.

"So... may I know where you're going?" he asked, taking a small step toward me.

"Nowhere, just... the Gryffindor common room," I stammered, stepping back.

"Do I make you nervous?" he asked with a smirk.

"What? No—" I began, but my back met the wall.

"You were stuttering," he pointed out.

"That was nothing," I said quickly.

"But I think it was something," he replied, placing his hands against the wall on either side of me.

"What are you doing?" I demanded.

"Did anyone ever tell you that you're beautiful?" Noah said softly.

"Yes," I answered without thinking.

"Who?"

"Harry."

"Harry, Harry, Harry... always Harry," Noah muttered, irritation flashing in his eyes. "You can't see me, can you?"

"What are you talking about?" I asked, frowning.

"You think Harry's the one for you, but that's blinding you. Can't you see that I—" he hesitated, "—that I like you?"

I blinked in surprise, memories flickering — the lingering touches, the sudden changes in mood whenever I mentioned Harry.

"Noah... I have a boyfriend," I said gently.

"Oh, right. The Boy Who Lived," he scoffed.

"How dare you— I love him," I shot back, my voice rising.

"And I—" Noah began, but was cut short as he was suddenly shoved back, stumbling to the floor.

I turned and saw Harry standing there, jaw clenched, wand in hand.

"You hexed an inquisitor," Noah hissed, getting up and drawing his wand.

"And you tried to corner someone who's mine," Harry snapped.

The two of them began exchanging hexes, and I ducked to avoid being hit.

"STOP!" I shouted.

Both froze. Harry strode forward, grabbed my hand, and pulled me close, my face against his chest.

"Don't ever come near her again," Harry warned in a voice so low it gave me chills. Without looking back, he led me away.

We reached the Room of Requirement, its door appearing for us. Inside, the DA was already gathering.

"Working hard is important," Harry began, his voice steady but his eyes flicking to me, "but there's something that matters even more: believing in yourself."

As the lesson went on, Harry moved around the room, guiding each of us.

When my turn came, I cast *Expelliarmus* at Anna, her wand flying neatly into my hand.

"Excellent, princess," he murmured behind me, and I felt my cheeks warm.

The rest of the practice passed quickly, laughter and applause filling the room when Neville disarmed Parvati.

At the end, Harry dismissed everyone with a proud smile. "Well done, all of you. Keep practicing over the holidays."

One by one, everyone left.

"Angel, stay here," Harry whispered.

When the last student was gone, I turned to find him watching me.

Before I could speak, he stepped forward, taking my hands in his.

"I didn't like what I saw out there," he said quietly.

"I didn't ask him to stop me—"

"I know," Harry said, his expression softening. "I just... hate the thought of anyone trying to make you feel uncomfortable."

I smiled faintly. "You're protective."

"Of course I am. You're my girl."

I leaned my forehead against his. "Always."

He brushed a stray strand of hair behind my ear, his thumb lingering against my cheek.

"You don't know how much I love you, Elsa," he whispered.

"I do," I murmured back. "Because I love you just as much."

For a while, we just stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, letting the rest of the world — Umbridge's rules, Noah's drama, the war outside — fade away.

In that moment, all that mattered was us.
