Another short(ish) story because my brain is a little frazzled. Also, I've been having most of my ideas based on Gohan, I promise there are other characters coming I just wanted to go ahead and write these ideas xx

"I made it!" Gohan cried with laughter, running past his mother with Icarus close on his heels. His mother laughed and smiled at her son. "Good job Gohan!" She said proudly. Gohan laughed, scratching under his chin. Since Gohan defeated Cell, there had been peace on Mount Paozu, accompanied with a new half saiyan on the way.

Bending over, Gohan touched his mother's bloated stomach. "Hi there squirt, I hope you aren't causing mom too much trouble." Chichi smiled and looked at her rapidly growing 11 year old son. Soon, he would be the best scholar in the world. Chichi laughed and touched the tummy carefully too. "We can't wait to meet you!"

Chichi sighed through her nose before standing up. "I'm going to go make us some lunch." Chichi said, already walking towards the house. Immediately, Gohan expressed his concerns. "Are you sure you should be walking around this much mom?" Chichi laughed and shooed him away. "I'm fine, I am two months pregnant and I don't need to be babied yet."

Gohan chuckled nervously before deciding not to push it. He knew what would happen if he didn't, and didn't feel like meeting the frying pan of doom for a date today. Chichi hummed to herself as she walked inside, gazing around the kitchen in thought. "What should we eat today?" She murmured aloud. Going to the pantry, she pulled out a punch of flour and eggs in preparation for the large meal to come. "I guess I better get started."

A couple hours later, the family was sitting in the living room, Gohan playing solitaire while Chichi made a grocery list. "Hey Gohan, do you mind if I go to the store in a bit?" Chichi asked her son sweetly. He smiled back before going back to playing cards. "Sure, just lemme know when ok?" Chichi smiled and nodded.

After a bit, she had her grocery list ready. "Ok I'm ready, but Gohan do you mind staying here by yourself to work on your studies?" Gohan smiled and shook his head no. "Nope I'm good here. Have fun shopping!" With that, Gohan began to pick up the cards as Chichi nodded and sent a kiss at Gohan. He returned the favor and that was the last thing Chichi saw before walking out the front door.

Chichi was tired of driving, the two hours it took to get to the nearest city taking its toll on her. As she watched the scenery go by, she was soon relieved to see the massive city come within view. Stopping at the first red light for miles upon miles, she felt herself relax. She was halfway through her car troubles.

Not paying attention as much as normal and her reflexes slowed, she turned right and merged onto the highway, no sense at all of the danger near her. At the last second Chichi saw it happening.

The semi ran off course, veering through the midsection and right in front of her car. With a scream, Chichi tried to maneuver the car out of the way but received no such luck as she was greeted by a blinding white light...

Gohan couldn't really stand. Hell, he couldn't really do anything right now. The only thing that he was able to do was sit in the white, plastic chair of the hospital lobby and stare at the creme walls in silence.

Bulma was on her way, but it didn't really matter. She was already dead. There was no reason to be here anymore. It took another fifteen minutes for Bulma to arrive, and Gohan noticed that she had Vegeta with her as well. Gohan tried to stand but found himself imobile, tears that had been waiting too long to surface were finally tipping over his tired lids.

Bulma kneeled in front of Gohan, looking in his eyes as if trying to see his spark and hope. There wasn't anything there today, just empty onyx eyes that were begging for reassurance.

Listening to his please, Bulma wrapped her arms around the broken child and he sniffled before burying his face in her shirt, his strong hands grasping her shirt in feeble attempts to get closer. It didn't take long before sobs began to wrack through his body, his pent up grief taking a large toll on his heart.

Gohan doesn't remember how, but all he knows is that he is sitting in a room in Capsule Corps. He guesses that he is staying here since his home has been hit with an unfortunate series of events.

Glancing around, he noticed that his old stuff had been moved here, and that there were textbooks laying on a desk in the corner. Gohan's eyes flashed teal for a moment before they turned onyx again, tears pricking his eyelids once again.

Looking back at the books, he noticed that one of them was open and his mother's handwriting could be seen. Gohan slowly walked over before sinking into a chair and doing some work. He was going to make his mother proud.

As the rain dripped steady from the cloudy sky, a young adult stood in front of two marked graves in an outfit of black. One might think it was a funeral until they saw the black cap on his head, the water dripping steadily off it's rim.

The young boy placed two flowers on each of their respective graves before chuckling sadly, little humor found in his voice. Bending down, he touched each grave and planted a kiss on each one before dropping his head into his knees.

Smiling to himself, he looked at his parent's graves. "Look mom and dad, I made it."
