A whisp reaches out in the darkness, filling the room with a familiar blue spark.

Wait...

Familiar?

Turning around, you are met with darkness. Not convinced you are alone, you reach out a hand in hopes it would find purchase on another surface.

Upon finding nothing, a pang of loneliness shoots up your spine and you wish that you didn't always feel alone.

Perhaps you imagined the other presence in an attempt to have company.

As you lift your gaze, a gasp escapes your mouth as a pair of electric blue eyes meet yours.

Stepping out of the small cottage with your arms occupied, you heaved your way over to a clothes line and glanced at the clothes that were laying inside the basket.

You really didn't want to do laundry today.

Reaching your hand inside, you grabbed the first shirt off of the top and grabbed a clothespin to accompany it. Draping the cloth over the line, you began to string up the clothes with practiced ease.

Soon you were finished, but not before wiping the sweat off of your forehead. Picking up the now empty basket under one arm and swinging your free arm on the other side, it didn't take long for the basket to be returned to the laundry room inside.

Going into the kitchen, you smiled as you pulled a pie out of the oven that you had started on before going outside to do laundry. Pulling it out, you gave yourself a satisfactory smile as the scent of blueberries filled your home. Setting a hot pad on a nearby window sill, you were careful to set the hot tray onto the window and use the fresh air to cool off the pie.

Gazing out the kitchen window, you watched as nearby animals ran into the forest, distracted. Curious, you stepped outside the front door, your hand lingering on the doorway for a moment before it slowly fell back to your side.

You squint your eyes as a man walked out of the woods, the animals seemingly entranced by him. His head was bowed as he looked at the animals, appearing confused by their affection.

Before you could stop it a laugh bubbled through you throat, filling the air with a warm vibe.

"I promise they won't hurt you. In fact I think they like you a lot."

You watched as he hummed in thought, his short black hair swaying in the wind as the breeze caught it.

"Why do they like me?"

Studying his features, you could only shrug your shoulders in thought as you leaned against the door frame. Upon not receiving an answer, the young man looked up and his eyes met yours.

A quick gasp left your lips as you saw the color of his eyes. Electric blue, just like the ones in your dream.

It seems that he was interested in your face for a moment as well before a cocky grin spread across his face.

"You seem awfully shy."

Sputtering for a moment, a blush rose to your cheeks.

"H-Hey! I'm not shy, I just didn't have an answer to your question."

Humming in response, the young man began to move towards your house.

"What smells so good?"

"A pie that I made. Would you like to try?"

"What flavor?"

"Blueberry."

The grin on the man's face grew larger. Taking that as a yes, you walked inside and heard him follow in behind you.

Since when did I get so bold that I let random men into my house?

Taking the pie off of the window sill, you began humming to yourself as you cut out a piece for the random stranger in your home.

Is he really a stranger?

Setting a piece of pie on a plate and handing it to him, you then turned around and got a slice for yourself. Sitting across from him, you decided to try idle chit-chat.

"So, how did you find yourself here? My house isn't exactly the easiest thing to find."

The young man shrugged, a smile playing on his lips as he picked up a fork.

"I have ways to get around."

Shrugging, you picked up your own fork as well and took a bite. The flavor was sweet, but not overpowering. It slowly built, a pleasant taste on the tongue. From a glance across the table you could tell that the man was enjoying it too. After he finished his bite, he smiled but it was more genuine.

"This is really good."

Satisfied, you nodded in agreement and were about to take a bite when you realized something.

"Hey, what's your name?"

When he raised a suggestive eyebrow you sputtered and tried to back track.

"I didn't mean it like that! I just thought since your in my house and eating my pie, it would be nice to know who you were next time I saw you!"

The young man studied you for a second before bursting into laughter at your poor attempt to make amends to you previous statement. After his giggle fit ended, he levelled his gaze and made eye contact with you once more. The color of his eyes making you want to jump into endless pools of adventure and passion...

"It's 17."

Snapping out of your gaze, you raised your eyebrows skeptically.

"17?"

The young man nodded, preparing a bite of cake.

"Android 17."

At this you looked him in the face once again. At your level gaze, he seemed to sputter for a moment before getting flustered.

"Why are you just staring at me like that? Aren't you humans supposed to freak out and scream or something."

A laugh made its way out of your throat before you shrugged and giggled.

"I mean you're already in my house so I don't know what difference it would make knowing your an android. Besides, you're still part human. Not totally machine which means you have a heart."

The statement seemed to shock the man for a moment before he looked back down at his pie and began to eat without a word. Grabbing your own fork you began to eat your pie as well, soon finishing your pie. Once he finished he looked up and bowed his head slightly.

"Thank you for the pie."

He turned towards the door and you held up you hand as if reaching for his wrist.

"Wait!"

The young man turned and you forced your next statement out.

"Will I be seeing you around?"

Android 17 seemed to consider it for a moment before giving a hesitant nod.

"Yeah."

Not being able to help it, a genuine smile made it's way onto your face. This time as he turned around you didn't try to stop him.

"Goodbye."

He hesitated on his next step before giving a faint smile.

"Yeah, goodbye."
