TOKOYAMI'S POV

I was startled awake by Dark Shadow. It was hailing. Interesting. I glanced around the room and realized that pretty much everyone but Bakugo had fallen asleep here. Bakugo had left after dinner, if you were wondering. Like I said, pretty much everyone. Jiro, Kamianri, Todoroki, and Midoriya were gone. "What's wrong, Fumikage?" Dark Shadow asked. "Hagakure's been here."

KAMINARI'S POV

I couldn't get the stupid cloth off my mouth. The same cloths were tied around Kyoka and Todoroki's mouths. Midoriya was being held hostage, his wrists and feet tied and knocked senseless. Todoroki had already passed out (it worked really well on him for some reason) and it was dark; I had no idea where we were. Kyoka's cloth mysteriously slipped off, and I realized that she had undone the knot with her earphone jacks. I heard distant shouting. The rest of the class was coming. But everything was going hazy. My lungs felt like they were shutting down. My legs gave and everything darkened. Nothing.

JIRO'S POV

Crap. I didn't get to Denki in time. This was bad. This was really bad. I couldn't see anything, or anyone for that matter. "Stupid cloth." I heard Hagakure mutter. I followed the sound of her voice, a bit relieved that she talked to herself, and sent sonic waves into the ground at her feet. I heard her jump. In pain or energy, I didn't know. I used my sensitive hearing to track her footsteps. There was suddenly screaming. Loud screaming. "YEAAAAAAAH!" My mind erupted in panic. My ears filled with blood. Hagakure punched me really, really hard and sent me flying into the wall.

I saw Hagakure dragging Kaminari up by the collar, and it set me off. I jumped up and grabbed an iron piece of debris. It was pointed, almost spear-like, on both ends. I gripped it so hard that my knuckles turned white. "Leave my boyfriend alone!" I stabbed Hagakure in the back. Blood rent everywhere. Denki dropped limply to the ground. Present Mic screamed louder this time. Blood dripped from my ear jacks and pooled into Denki's limp hand. I gripped his other tightly. I heard gunfire. It was distant, but getting closer by the second. I stood up shakily and tried to mask my panic and exasperation. "W-Who's there?" The last thing I saw was Snipe and his gun.

YAOYOROZU'S POV

Jiro was half-conscious, her eyes bleary and her face pale. There was a rapidly bleeding bullet wound in her side. On the bright side, Todoroki and Kaminari looked mostly okay, with the exception of the blood pooled in Kaminari's hand and several bruises on the both of them. Hagakure was lying in the corner. "She... she's dead." Kirishima breathed after looking our ex-classmate over. "They killed her." Midoriya acknowledged quietly. "Stay where you are, students." Snipe said, slowly pulling his gun into view. It all fit now. Snipe was the one who'd shot Jiro. "Not a chance." Sero said stiffly. I began to craft spears and shields.

Sato, Aoyama, Sero, and I took care of Jiro, Kaminari, and Todoroki, while the rest of the class handled Snipe. Sato heaved Kaminari and Todoroki over his shoulders. I created a stretcher and laid Midoriya on it while Sero lifted Jiro bridal style- I wasn't sure how Kaminari would like someone else holding his girlfriend, but now wasn't the time. I was sure he'd be fine once he knew we were just trying to save her life. "Let's go!" Kirishima cried. Snipe was hung on the dirty chandelier, giving us an opening to escape.

KAMINARI'S POV

I woke up screaming. "K-Kaminari!" Kirishima stammered excitedly. "Dude, calm down. You're fine." Sero said, though clearly winded as well. "Are you okay, ribbit?" Asui asked. I blinked several times before answering. I looked around. We were in the common room. The only ones missing were Kyoka and Bakugo. I was lying on one of the couches. Todoroki was lying across from me. "Are you alright, Kaminari?" Iida's voice snapped me back to reality. "I'm okay, thanks." I'm a little lightheaded, but okay. Todoroki groaned. Yaoyorozu in particular was close to him. He murmured something that I didn't quite catch and rolled over subconsciously. "So what happened...?"

                                                                                       ...

"Wait, so is Kyoka okay?" I asked frantically. Everyone exchanged uneasy looks. "We don't know. Sorry, Kaminari." Midoriya said finally. I felt the color drain from my face. Ashido elbowed him. Hard. "You didn't have to say that." she said through gritted teeth, smiling fakely. I chewed on my bottom lip. I sighed. "I'm gonna go and get some rest. Say 'hi' to Todoroki for me when he wakes up." I mumbled, getting up from the couch. Everyone else just watched me go.

I got myself to go to the hospital and ran into the person that I least expected to see. Ojiro. "Kaminari?" he asked, clearly confused. "Ojiro?!" I countered, just as baffled. "But, you- uh, you were-Hagakure-" "I'm fine now. Mostly. I've been really lucky." he cut in. "Mostly?" "A bit of amnesia that comes and goes, like for instance, if you'd come ten minutes ago, I probably wouldn't remember you." I'm having an operation on my tail for something... I can't remember why, though." He rubbed the back of his neck anxiously. He sighed. "So what brings you here?" "Um... er, Hagakure came back and caused us some trouble. I guess. She's dead now. Jiro killed her." I replied slowly. Ojiro's eyes went wide. "Wow. So, uh... I'm guessing someone got hurt really badly if you're here." "Midoriya and Jiro." I pushed past him on impulse and sped-walked away.

"Woah... K-Kyoka, you're awake." I was honestly surprised, but in a good way. Kyoka smiled sheepishly. "Sorry for crashing Christmas." she said, playing with her jacks a bit. "Oh, speaking of which... here." I handed her my gift. She made a face. "Denki..." "Come on, open it." I urged. She unwrapped it, looking a little annoyed at my insistence. Her face brightened when she saw what I'd gotten her though. Several framed pictures of her and her parents and one of her and me on the first day of school. "Denki, where did you get these?" I shrugged.

Truth be told, it was a long process. I snuck into Kyoka's room while she was asleep one night and took photos of her photos of her and her parents. I printed them, and, well, you know the rest. But instead of telling her that, I just said, "I have my ways." She laughed. She rarely laughed. When she did, she was even more beautiful. "I was planning on giving you mine, but..." She gestured to the heart monitor beside her. She was covering up her pain for me.

"I... I should probably go." I said after we talked for about half an hour. "Kay. See ya." Kyoka replied, but I could hear a hint of disappointment in her voice. "Oh. One more thing." I paused. "Don't die on me. I mean it." She scowled at me playfully on my way out. I was so glad that she wasn't unconscious or anything. Then I really would have broken. She's okay, I told myself. She's okay.

ONE MONTH LATER

JIRO'S POV

"Kyoka, ribbit, you're back." Asui said excitedly. "Yay! And Ojiro's back too!" Ashido added. I ducked my head. "Are you okay? Your bullet wound, I mean." Uraraka asked. I nodded. "Clean slate." I insisted. Lies. It wasn't completely true. It was healing well, but it really hurt. It wasn't as bad as it was at first, and I knew it would heal in the next week or so. I'd just have to lie until then. Everyone was especially happy that Ojiro was back... again. "If you ever set foot in that hospital again, I'll kill you myself!" Sero proclaimed. Ojiro raised a curious eyebrow. "Dude, you sound like Bakugo." Kirishima told Sero. I waved Denki over and dragged him into my room. I had the picture of him and me on my nightstand while the ones of my parents and me on the wall above my dad's guitar.

I handed Denki my gift. "This is overdue, I think." I told him. He grinned and opened it, pulling out a Pikachu plush and a choker. "I noticed the one on your hero costume got blown up by Bakugo." I noted. "Right. This is awesome! Thanks, Kyoka." he said, kissing me on the top of the head. I blushed and kissed him back, on the cheek. When he stood up, he bumped into my side a little harder than I thought he would. I winced. "You okay?" he asked, sitting back down next to me. I leaned into him. "Mhmm." He wrapped his arms around me. It was comforting. "It's good to have you back." he said. I smiled a bit. "Not more than I missed you." He elbowed me. Hard. In the side. "Oh. Crap. Kyoka, sorry." he said immediately. I bit back a groan of pain. "I didn't mean to do that. I'm so sorry." he gushed, enveloping me in his arms.

"It's fine. Really. I'm fine." I assured Denki. He sighed. "Okay. You know I completely forgot you were shot there, and I thought it was the other side, and-" "I said it's fine." I laughed. He broke out in a grin.

"Oh. Midoriya asked if we wanted to go on a triple date with Kirishima, Ashido, Uraraka, and him. I said I'd go if you wanted to." Denki said. I was startled. "They confessed?" "Yeah. You missed out on a lot of shipping stuff." he replied truthfully. "Oh. I guess I'm up for it." "Great! I'll go tell them."
